You will get the opportunity to know the Sami culture and join a pleasant Reindeer Sledding in beautiful North Norwegian nature.
Saami are the indigenous people of the North and our Sami guide would like you to get to know his culture better, both past, present and future, through tasting some typical Sami food, seeing Sami artifacts and hearing stories and traditional Sami singing.
* If conditions change we keep the right to amend the duration of the sled-ride.
* All animals used for these services are trained for the activity, however, the behavior of animals can be unpredictable and therefore it is essential that all participants follow all given instructions for their safety, and the safety of others.
*Each reindeer and sled are bound together in a long row with the lead reindeer in the front.
* Sleds are shared, 2 participants on one sled.
*Reindeer Sledding is subject to snow and if weather conditions don't allow us to run the sled-ride we will offer you a partial refund.

*IMPORTANT: The Reindeer Sledding (30 minutes activity) is subject to good snow conditions and sometimes we have to adjust the duration of this activity. If the weather does not allow us to run the sled-ride at all, we will offer you a partial refund. The rest of the tour will be held as normal.

5.00Had a lovely visit, spending time feeding the reindeer, the sledge ride was fun too. The reindeer stew was delicious and the talk after was very informative. Well worth the money.

5.00Booked this trip as we had an extra day and wasn’t sure what to do with it. It was the trip I was least bothered about, but it was incredible!!! Learning about modern day Sami culture and spending time with the real life reindeer hearders was an experience I’ll never forget. Animals are so well cared for, unlike most animals in tourism nowadays. So glad we booked it. Staff were all really friendly, welcoming and funny too! Trip highlight so far

5.00Great experience and very interesting Sadly the weather meant we couldn’t go on the sled ride, but it was great to spend time with and feed the reindeer. Very interesting to hear about Sami culture and the lunch was very tasty.

5.00Awesome experience! The sleigh ride was lots of fun, and the reindeer certainly like you when you have food, and like you a lot less when you don’t. It was also fun learning about the Sami culture!
60th birthday treat, amazing day, landscapes are breathtaking, nothing is too much trouble, had a hot lunch

5.00We thoroughly enjoyed our reindeer adventure. The sledding was great fun (as long as you are wearing warm clothing!). We loved feeding the reindeer- what an amazing experience! There were plenty of warm drinks and a hot lunch of reindeer stew or a vegetable soup. The talk about the Sami culture was very interesting. We had a great morning.

5.00We took part in the Reindeer Sledding and Feeding with Sami Culture trip in Tromsø. The guide was very friendly and gave us a lot of information already on the bus. The Sami people prepared the event perfectly. We fed the reindeer and socialized with them. After a pleasant sleigh ride, we sat down in a heated cabin and watched an explanation of the life and customs of the Sami people. The locals were very friendly and warmly answered many questions about their culture. They served us excellent deer stew, pastries, hot tea and chocolate.
Once in a lifetime experience!
