You will get the opportunity to know the Sami culture and join a pleasant Reindeer Sledding in beautiful North Norwegian nature.
Saami are the indigenous people of the North and our Sami guide would like you to get to know his culture better, both past, present and future, through tasting some typical Sami food, seeing Sami artifacts and hearing stories and traditional Sami singing.
* If conditions change we keep the right to amend the duration of the sled-ride.
* All animals used for these services are trained for the activity, however, the behavior of animals can be unpredictable and therefore it is essential that all participants follow all given instructions for their safety, and the safety of others.
*Each reindeer and sled are bound together in a long row with the lead reindeer in the front.
* Sleds are shared, 2 participants on one sled.
*Reindeer Sledding is subject to snow and if weather conditions don't allow us to run the sled-ride we will offer you a partial refund.

*IMPORTANT: The Reindeer Sledding (30 minutes activity) is subject to good snow conditions and sometimes we have to adjust the duration of this activity. If the weather does not allow us to run the sled-ride at all, we will offer you a partial refund. The rest of the tour will be held as normal.

4.00The sleigh ride was cancelled a week before due to sick/retired animals. But the partial refund arrived well and quickly. The rest was very nice. We were able to pet some reindeer popos and had a lot of time to feed. That was the most important thing to us. The Sami info was exciting and the food quite okay. You have to know that with 2 coaches full of people you arrive and leave there 50-60 min.

4.00Transport, organization, Sami people, cultural talk, reindeer feeding, camp were all excellent and worth the tour. The vegetarian/vegan meal of light vegetable soup not equal to the thick, deer meat, potato, carrot stew. Need a veg stew just minus the meet.a

5.00Dream came true! enjoyed the moment from beginning till the end. All staff were friendly and easy going. feeding reindeer was such as an experience and to see them from so close was just a dream. Sleed with reindeer was a fairytail! we loved it. and the serrounding was just an fenomenal!

5.00That was a really beautiful trip. The Sami live in a snow-capped landscape surrounded by mountains. The Tippi-like dwellings look new and high-quality. There are campfires all over the camp. After a short introduction we went straight out to the reindeer sleighs. The staff was very friendly, sang, told stories, took photos and provided us with a delicious soup for lunch. In between there was cocoa, plenty of cookies and bread. It was also great to get very close to the reindeer while feeding and also to take great photos. In a question and answer session we learned a lot about the Sami. We liked the tour even better than the snowmobile tour - which was also great.

5.00Tromsø Lapland offers a unique opportunity to learn about the Sami culture from indigenous people. Fascinating insights into their relationship with reindeer and had the best experience on the reindeer sled ride. Everything was well organised and we were given clear instructions ensuring everyone had a great and safe experience.
Overpriced but otherwise great.

3.00This would have been an amazing experience if it was about €100 cheaper. It was about a 1 hour bus ride followed by a 25 minute sled ride and 30 minutes of feeding both with beautiful views. After that you get to warm up in the building and eat reindeer or vegetable soup. Guide provided about 5 minutes of Sami culture and then we went outside to look at the northern lights (not a guarantee and obviously weather and sunset dependent). I’m happy we did it but at almost €200 per person I probably would not recommend it to a friend.

5.00An amazing experience. The staff were amazing and getting up close with the reindeer to feed them, as well as having a reindeer ride was incredible. Highly recommend!
