You will get the opportunity to know the Sami culture and join a pleasant Reindeer Sledding in beautiful North Norwegian nature.

Saami are the indigenous people of the North and our Sami guide would like you to get to know his culture better, both past, present and future, through tasting some typical Sami food, seeing Sami artifacts and hearing stories and traditional Sami singing.

* If conditions change we keep the right to amend the duration of the sled-ride.

* All animals used for these services are trained for the activity, however, the behavior of animals can be unpredictable and therefore it is essential that all participants follow all given instructions for their safety, and the safety of others.

*Each reindeer and sled are bound together in a long row with the lead reindeer in the front.

* Sleds are shared, 2 participants on one sled.

*Reindeer Sledding is subject to snow and if weather conditions don't allow us to run the sled-ride we will offer you a partial refund.

*IMPORTANT: The Reindeer Sledding (30 minutes activity) is subject to good snow conditions and sometimes we have to adjust the duration of this activity. If the weather does not allow us to run the sled-ride at all, we will offer you a partial refund. The rest of the tour will be held as normal.

This was such a fun experience. Def do the sleigh ride!! Reindeer stew was tasty as well. Learning about the culture of the reindeer herders was very interesting. Worth every penny❤️

What a great experience. We took our toddler who really enjoyed feeding the reindeers. The reindeers were so gentle and being that close to them felt magical. The reindeer sledding in the snowy wilderness was just fantastic and once again felt magical. I loved learning about the Sami culture. Jon our Sami guide answered everyone’s questions and gave really good explanations. We thoroughly enjoyed the stew too- it was so tasty. On arrival and throughout our time in the huts there were cookies and hot drinks. The coach journey there and back was comfortable taking roughly 45 minutes and we were also provided with a toddler car seat without hassle. I just cannot fault the whole experience.

Loved the personal interaction with the reindeer, learning about the Sami culture and issues was also interesting and gave insight into a people within a region that few are aware of.

If you do this tour after dog sledding, it appears very slow, however it should be taken on its own merits. Ticked my bucket list, would have preferred two reindeer per sled as it would seem more comfortable for animals. Feeding wild reindeer’s and highlight of tour, cultural talk and ease that we could ask questions from our guide. It was very interesting and eye opening to new information about Sami people that I had no previous knowledge.

Really really wonderful experience and absolutely recommended! I'd do it again now. The tour of sledding, feeding and Sami culture was really exciting and authentic. Special thanks to the guide Michael, very good: prepared, passionate and able to explain in a clear and interesting Sami culture, the relationship with reindeer and life in these extraordinary places. The explanations were really good and never boring. And above all, he was very clear in speaking English, so much so that even we who are not very experienced understood everything. The reindeer are very sweet and very nice, being able to approach them and feed them was a unique moment. The reindeer ride was very suggestive, surrounded by fantastic nature, quiet and enchanting. The idea of having lunch in the typical circular house, welcoming and characteristic, which makes the experience even more authentic, is also beautiful. Cookies, hot chocolate and hot tea are very welcome, perfect to warm up and enjoy the atmosphere. A complete experience, well organized and full of emotions, which I recommend to anyone who really wants to experience the magic of the North and Sami culture

Small but beautiful group ride of friendly native sleds explaining in English the culture and customs of this ethnic group and finding oneself in the middle of the reindeer with their antlers is impressive enough to feed them. Many tourists like us normal nevertheless friendly

Well organised visit to reindeers with reindeer sled. Beautiful scenery. Enjoyed sitting round campfire with hot chocolate. Reindeer stew good and vege option for son. Interesting to hear about Sami culture too.

The tour was very enjoyable, evenly paced and well organized. We drove for an hour outside of Tromso, enjoyed feeding the reindeer, then sledding, followed by a hearty soup and stories from the Sami. It’s truly a wonderful experience and a great way to spend a morning in Tromso. Highly recommend.

The sleigh ride was so much fun and getting to be with the reindeer while feeding them was also a highlight. Learning about the Sami culture was very interesting and it was fun to try the reindeer stew.
