We have certainly walked this tour to Anse Major over 1000 times in the last 10 years and we are still fascinated by this beautiful hike to this day. In terms of outdoor activities on Mahé, this hike, which can also be described as a walk, is a highlight in the Seychelles.
The guided tour to Anse Major is easy to do and can also be done in bad weather. You have a great view of various bays & the northwest of Mahé.
The green nature in the jungle to be crossed is safe.
Children aged 5 and over will also be thrilled, as there is so much to see and discover. We may even see a real flying fox up close and feed it.
Anse Major is not accessible by car, you have to make a little effort, but you will be exceptionally rewarded.
The way back can be done by Taxi boat at an optional cost.
Incidentally, our company is licensed and insured, certified by the tourism authority and licensed by the government.

Anse Major Trail
After being picked up from your hotel or the ferry, you will be taken by car to the starting point or the entrance to the Anse Major Trail. From there we will hike for about 1-1.5 hours. It is a narrow, safe hiking trail that goes up and down a bit. You don't need to be particularly fit, just good shoes, sports shoes or hiking boots. Please do not wear sandals or flip flops. We will stop at several points on the tour so that you have enough time to take great pictures. There are several hot spots for this. Once you arrive, you have the opportunity to explore the small bay, swim and snorkel. There is also a freshwater pool with water from the granite mountains of the nature reserve, which is certainly several million years old, very clean and cooling. We plan to stay for about 1-2 hours before we either hike back or take a cab boat back, if available and at a small extra charge. After the hike, we will be happy to take you back to the pick-up point or another location on Mahe.

5.00Great hike with amazing views and not too difficult, although wear shoes. Take snorkel gear there is some nice snorkelling right off the beach at Anse Major. Kevin picked us up on time very knowledgeable about the island and engaging. Would recommend to see this part of the island. Be aware you’ll need to pay a small entry to the trail when you get there.
Paid tour and guide didn’t show up with refusal of refund!

1.00Sheena, the guide, did not show up, did not contact me and left me with a loss as she refused the refund! I am waiting to see if Viator refunds me as I paid for a tour that did not happened without any notice or reasonable justification… SHEENA from Seychelles is absolutely to AVOID. She failed but she charged me!!! Not even in the third world we see this happening…

5.00Kevin picked us up from our hotel reception and was right on time! The 40 minute journey in the car was very relaxed and informative, Kevin spoke about the history of the Seychelles and the local area. He made sure that we had enough water for our walk. When we arrived, Kevin was happy to take lots of photos of us along the way and whilst he set a brisk pace he always waited for us or slowed down when needed. When we arrived on the beach, he watched our bags as we went for a swim and took even more photos for us! On the way back, he stopped off at the tea shop growing point so that we could see another part of the island. Would highly recommend!

1.00Big con! I chose this guide because of the reviews. I booked and paid for a hike for Major Cove. I received a confirmation reminder of an appointment two days before the hike. We were supposed to leave at 3:00. We waited for D-Day and no one came. I managed to contact Sheena who was surprised because surprisingly not aware when I had received a reminder... A few quick excuses and she tells us that she can the next day at 8am sharp. I accept and we are ready by 8am the next day. Now, at 8:15 am still no one. I contact Sheena who tells me that her brother should already be here but she can't reach him. So, we're still preparing for nothing. She offered me no refund. I've been waiting a month. She reads my messages, but she's dead. I am super disappointed by this lack of professionalism!!! How can this agency be so highly rated when it is obviously outright theft!

5.00Great hike !! Kevin really took care of us throughout the trip! We saw incredible views throughout the hike and some endemic palm trees and ended at a secluded beach with vibrant blue waters
