This museum is the first in Malta to use Augmented Reality technology. Through the mobile application which can be downloaded on your phone or experienced through the tablets provided by the site, one can relive what medical life was like in 17th and 18th century Malta under the Knights of St John. The hospital was the most important aspect of their life, since they themselves started off as Hospitallers in the Holy Lands back in the 12th century before becoming military men and being victorious again the Ottoman Empire during the famous Great Siege of 1565.

The perfect place to fully immerse yourself in history and see what these Knights actually looked like!

I went with 20 students, aged 8 to 10 years, who attend summer school at Marsaxlokk. The guides provided handouts for the students, and replied to the students' many questions in a way which the students could understand. The tour piqued their interest and they enjoyed themselves immensely. Definitely recommended.

We had a very nice Tour with Alizea. She showed us the whole place and gave us an overview about the history. We enjoyed the Tour and i would higly recommend to Do it of visiting Valletta.

Alisia took us around the Musium and she explained well. We really loved so much the trip this is soo worth to especially the kids. And as we love to learn so many things about Malta history we love the tour alots. Thanks alot Alisia for your kind help and well explanation.

The self guided tour of an historic building was interesting and unusual with special effects and hologram and you also have access to the large outdoor balcony with excellent views of the 3 cities and harbour. Highly recommended. Thanks also to Matthew for helping

Definitely an experience worth a visit for those looking for some newness in town! This is the first and only augmented reality museum in Malta, with lots of fun, interactive games for children and families and a well-thought museal journey! You’ll have a full-immersion in the history of the Knights of Saint John and Valletta, together with the famous Hologram Room where you can directly engage with Jean Parisot de Vallette, the founder of the city! The Customer Care Team could not be more helpful and everything seems to be well-organized, well-kept and well-looked after. Keep up the great work and ad maiora! 😊

This amazing experience gave me the chance to relive the history of Valletta in an interesting and innovative way! Fun and enjoyable, this tour succeeded to emerge me in a different reality. With the help of the specially designed app, it was really engaging and informative to discover interesting facts about the capital of Malta and to take a picture with different characters from the past. I recommend this tour, especially to families with children (who can also play two games with the app)!

Reliving The Sacra Infermeria is recommendable for those who want to experience the history of The Nights of Saint John's in a unique way. The provided application gives elaborated and very extensive information about everything you want to know concerning the hospital of the Knights of St John. Although the concept is remarkably fresh and innovative, the Augmented Reality within the app could use some refreshment.

I loved the big spaces and the new and unexpected ways of discovering the history of Valletta, really makes it come alive! As it was not expensive at all, also good to combine with some of the other AR/VR experiences in the city.

The building itself is very charming and beautiful and has a great history. The information given through the application is very thorough and interesting. The price is very good for such an experience. The only downside is that you sometimes lose track because not all routes are defined. Also the app can be a little more worked on in terms of augmented reality experience. Overall, it is worth it.
