Rhine Falls
Reach the first highlight of this afternoon at splendid medieval Castle Laufen – the mighty Rhine Falls! Enjoy about one hour leisure time at Europe's biggest waterfalls and one of Switzerland's major tourist attractions! Delight unique views from the panoramic lift and see how an average of 700'000 liters of water per second plunge across a width of 150 meters into the basin below. The Belvedere panoramic trail brings you to the viewing platform right above the falls where you feel the spindrift of the rumbling waters. Take an optional boat ride (summer only, additional costs) close to the falls. Enjoy an hour here to see an exhibition, admire panoramic views from the glass elevator, or walk to the viewpoints above and around the falls to thrill at their roar and power. The site also has a playground, shops, and restaurants. Perhaps opt for a boat ride (subject to availability and not included in price) to experience the crashing cascades close up.

The Rhinefalls was really awesome - so powerful! And Rhein em Stein was a town that really brought you back to medieval times; with the Christmas market there, it really felt very festive . Good trip , worth the price paid for the trip !

Good tour guide Bjorn and good bus driver. Places we visited we're so beautiful but not enough time on hand.

Our tour guide was fantastic, very knowledgeable and great to visit with! Just so you know we walked quite a bit and there are steps to and from the falls. Such a beautiful sight!

The tour guide Francesca was amazing, very knowledgeable - when we arrived at the Rhine waterfalls we were advised that due to pickpockets only to take what we absolutely needed to and to leave stuff on the bus. Foolishly I left my bag behind with some cash in it. I returned to find my bag opened and a 100 franc note missing. I advised the tour guide but there was no follow up and I could not prove it. So lesson learnt, do the tour but don’t leave anything behind anywhere, keep all stuff close by I take responsibility for being stipid and trusting - did ruin the experience for me

This was a great day. Loved the mighty and beautiful Rhine Falls. Not sure I agree that it is better than Niagara Falls, but the fact that we can get up so close certainly intensifies the experience. The Medieval village was great as well.

A great half day tour to the falls. Our tour guide, very knowledgeable gave us plenty of information along the way about the places we were visiting and Switzerland in general. She walked with us to the platforms at the falls and then to the medieval little town providing us with great tips.

it was a good easy tour. half day you don't have to get up super early and spend all day traveling. I'm glad I did it.

Great tour! I loved that it was just a half day. The guide, my apologies, I can't recall his name, was friendly and knowledgeable. I took some stunning photos of Rhine Falls, there was so much to see, it was incredible to see the waterfall up close like that. Stein am Rhein was interesting, but less inspiring because it was a ghost town when our tour group arrived. The only stores opened were two small markets, a souvenir shop, a cheesemonger and a butcher. The guide seemed surprised at how dead it was, which sounded phony. I have no doubt he's taken many tour groups to the village in the off season and knows how empty it is during certain months. He said the place was popping in the summer. I'm sure it is but it isn't the summer.
