Please note that weather conditions may occasionally require an alternative route for safety and comfort.
Feøy – A Peaceful Island Escape near Haugesund Just west of Haugesund lies Feøy, a tranquil island group known for its unspoiled nature and strong coastal traditions. With around 50 year-round residents, Feøy offers a glimpse of authentic island life as you pass by on your RIB adventure. From the sea, you’ll spot traditional boathouses, the charming Feøy Brygge – once an old wharf, now a meeting place and restaurant – and open landscapes where sheep graze near the shore. During World War II, German forces occupied the island due to its key role in the Norwegian resistance network. Today, Feøy remains a peaceful community surrounded by sea, history, and natural beauty.

5.00Rib safari Tour in Haugesund - Brilliant - Book it you, won't regret it. WOW, what a great experience, well worth it. We were due to dock in Haugesund with MSC. Booking directly saved quite a bit of money. They are a 10min walk from the cruise terminal that we docked at. When we arrived we were made to feel very welcome, all of the staff were brilliant. We purchased a coffee (there was also available cider, waffles, tea, etc...) and waited in the outdoor seating area before being directed to the boat house for preparation. We had a comprehensive safety briefing and then got kitted out with safety equipment (there is a locker for storing backpacks etc... which Viator will lock as you leave for the rib and then open upon your return). Out to the rib we all went and got aboard, a few more hints and tips were given before we set off. I am not going to spoil it, but off we went and WOW what a thrilling experience, absolutely loved it, we were buzzing about it for days after and if has formed such a memorable part of our trip. A big thank you to all of the staff who we met on the day, thank you for making all of us feel so welcome and for the clear instruction and humour. Thank you for such a memorable experience. 3.00I was really enjoying the rib boat tour until we hit a big wave and the boat came down hard and I badly injured my back. No one's fault just a freak accident. Can't thank the staff enough who brought out another boat to take me back and then drove me back to the cruise ship.

2.00So it's about an hour on board, not 2 as advertised. Unfortunately our boat also broke down and that spoiled what should have been a great experience. As a result, about 20 minutes of our hour was spent just bobbing on the ocean!

5.00An exhilarating experience, we saw some small villages, salmon farm and lots of small islands. The sea was kind to us in our trip, We had a super fast ride back to the ship complete with doughnuts. Just hang on and enjoy the ride
