Røvær
Røvær is an island group in Haugesund Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The islands lie off the mainland shore about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) northwest of the town of Haugesund. The 1.4-square-kilometre (0.54 sq mi) Røvær islands have about one hundred permanent residents (2014), as well as seasonal residents and visitors who rent vacation homes, stay at Røvær Seahouse (Røvær Sjøhus) or the newer Røvær Culture Hotel (Røvær Kulturhotell). The permanent residents who are not retired support themselves principally through farming, fishing, employment at the express boat service, teaching at the island's local school, working at the salmon fish farm, or by commuting to work on the mainland. During World War II, the island was occupied by German military forces, and there is still a concrete pillbox on Varden, the island's highest point.
Feøy
Feøy is a small island group in Karmøy municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The 1.3-square-kilometre (0.50 sq mi) island group lies west of the town of Haugesund and the island of Karmøy, southeast of the islands of Røvær, and northeast of the island of Utsira. The island has 49 permanent residents, plus a number of seasonal residents and visitors who rent vacation homes. The permanent residents who are not retired support themselves either through sheep farming, fishing, or by commuting to jobs on the mainland. There is an old wharf on Feøy that was converted into the Feøy Brygge, a small meeting house and restaurant that caters meetings and parties. During World War II, the Germans occupied the small island with troops because the area was an organizing site for resistance workers moving between Norway and Britain.

We had booked a Rib Safari as a gift for ourselves and our children and touted this as a highlight of the holiday. The night before the planned tour, it was cancelled via mail. So we were left without anything. Since the tour was supposed to take place on a Sunday, there was no alternative program at such short notice, ... or Haugesund could not offer anything for children/teenagers that day. I can only warn against this provider if you want to save yourself a disappointment. With us there were tears and a day of bad mood, which we would have liked to spare.

Exciting and informative. It got quite bumpy but I loved every minute! Easy to find off of cruise ship.

The tour operator met us at the cruise port tour vendor section. We had a short walk to their building to dress for the rib excursion. The ride was thrilling with the driver putting smiles on all the passenger faces. A suit to stay dry, goggles, and life vest were provided by the vendor. I highly recommend this tour in Haugesund!

Phenomenal experience! There isn’t a better way to take in the beauty of the Norwegian coast than with this rib tour. Our guide/boat operator skipped us along, plunging thru the rolling seas and provided us with very informative commentary throughout the trip. Our entire family had a blast, you can expect to get wet and laugh a lot! This is not for anyone scared of the water or with a bad back, but for thrill seekers this is must do!

It's not 2 hrs! It's 40 mins with 1 hr or more of walking and getting suited up. It's extremely rough they fly over waves and come down hard. Not reccomend for kids or anyone with spine issues or older folks. It's a rip off in my opinion.
