Røvær is an island group in Haugesund Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The islands lie off the mainland shore about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) northwest of the town of Haugesund. The 1.4-square-kilometre (0.54 sq mi) Røvær islands have about one hundred permanent residents (2014), as well as seasonal residents and visitors who rent vacation homes, stay at Røvær Seahouse (Røvær Sjøhus) or the newer Røvær Culture Hotel (Røvær Kulturhotell). The permanent residents who are not retired support themselves principally through farming, fishing, employment at the express boat service, teaching at the island's local school, working at the salmon fish farm, or by commuting to work on the mainland. During World War II, the island was occupied by German military forces, and there is still a concrete pillbox on Varden, the island's highest point.
Feøy is a small island group in Karmøy municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The 1.3-square-kilometre (0.50 sq mi) island group lies west of the town of Haugesund and the island of Karmøy, southeast of the islands of Røvær, and northeast of the island of Utsira. The island has 49 permanent residents, plus a number of seasonal residents and visitors who rent vacation homes. The permanent residents who are not retired support themselves either through sheep farming, fishing, or by commuting to jobs on the mainland. There is an old wharf on Feøy that was converted into the Feøy Brygge, a small meeting house and restaurant that caters meetings and parties. During World War II, the Germans occupied the small island with troops because the area was an organizing site for resistance workers moving between Norway and Britain.

Fantastic experience, excitement on the high seas and loved the views along with the ups and downs of the waves. Exhilarating.

We really enjoyed our fjord RIB boat tour in Haugesund! The meeting point was easy to find and check-in was quick and smooth. The guide made us feel completely safe and comfortable before we set off, and shared interesting info about the area along the way. The ride itself was so much fun — beautiful views, fresh air, and just the right amount of speed and excitement. We do wish it had lasted a bit longer because we were having such a great time, but it was still well worth it for the value. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a fun way to experience the fjords!

Great scenery and very well done. Can be rough so those with physical limitations should beware. Otherwise I highly recommend it.

Nice scenery and interesting experience and fun boat ride but limited local information or descriptions provided by the guide which was a little disappointing.

Exhilarating and beautiful. Professional operator. Rune was an AWESOME Captain! I’m 62 with mild sciatica and it was no problem. Small back rests, but shorter people may have no choice but to bounce on the seats with the waves. Taller people can stand and take the bounces w/knees and not hit their tailbones. I’d definitely do this again — unique experience.
