San Jose de Maipo

El pueblo de San José de Maipo is the main urban center of the commune. Located 48 km from the city of Santiago de Chile, at an altitude of 970 meters above sea level, following the route G-25 Camino al Volcán, on the banks of the Maipo River. Its historic center has been declared a National Monument8, notable for its colonial constructions. In this town you can find all the main services of the community, such as the Alcaldía, the local police court, the municipal library, etc.

The tour took us away from the agitation of Santiago. Exuberant landscapes. The guide Jaime with a lot of knowledge of the region and Chilean history was exceptional, providing us great moments.

Cajon del Maipo is an amazing and beautiful place, much more than we imagined. The Tourgo agency were very attentive from the first contact, excellent service quality. A special thanks to the guide Cristian, who made our experience even better, lots of charisma and attention to explain every detail of the tour.

The view is beautiful, worth seeing. The road creates adventures because the road is very narrow, but with Juan at the wheel everything goes well.

Simply one of the best opportunities to take advantage of a Sunday work bridge, beautiful landscapes of the Cordillera, guide Carla super fun, left early and returned early (16hs), stop for a breakfast on the way, in a simple and welcoming rural resort, after appreciating the views in the dam, which are fantastic , stop for a coffee and chocolate on the return and to finish a picnic with many stories and causes of the region, highlight for the Sunday without traffic of trucks on the road that is very challenging ...a fantastic experience !!!

We stayed in March 2024 and had a fantastic experience with the people at Tourgo. We made the following itinerary: 03/21 transfer to hotel 03/22 - City Tour in the morning. 03/23 - Cajon del Maipo + embalse el Yeso 03/24 - Viña del mar/Valparaiso 03/25 - Concha y Toro Winery in the morning. 03/26 - Transfer to airport Every day we counted on TourGo's support, helping us with everything we needed, notifying us in advance of meeting times and points. Thank you very much! We will be back in winter! Suggestion of adding guided tours to Santiago's football stadiums. We did it on our own and it was a really cool trip!!

Very informative, punctual snd friendly. Impressive sights. Breakfast expensive and mediocre. Would have preferred slightly later pick up from hotel with time to eat there instead, otherwise great trip.

We loved it, the place is beautiful, the tour was very enjoyable. I would just make one reservation, right after lunch we had a picnic, and I thought the group didn't enjoy it much due to the short amount of time between them, but otherwise everything was perfect.
