Your adventure begins in Riverside, one of Toronto’s oldest communities, where heritage buildings, the Queen Street bridge, and a vibrant food scene set the stage. From there, we wander into Leslieville, a laid-back district once defined by factories, now beloved for its tree-lined streets, indie cafés, and some of the city’s best eateries.

Every stop on this tour is a true neighbourhood favourite—no chains, no tourist traps. You’ll step inside local hot-spots, taste dishes crafted with care, and hear the stories behind the food.

And to top it off? A chance to sip one of the area’s famous local brewery beers.

I recently worked with Maya to arrange a private tour for my family who were visiting Toronto for the holidays. The process of organising the tour was very smooth; I received a timely response to my initial inquiry, Maya then put together a detailed proposal, taking into account the specific requirements of the group. We visited Riverside and Leslieville. The tour itself was fantastic, Maya is an incredibly knowledgeable and engaging guide. The route and stops worked well for a multi-generational, multi-language group. We tasted a range of delicious food and drink, and it was great to hear the stories of the local businesses that we visited. Maya had considered every detail; she even brought hand warmers for the group! Overall, a fantastic experience, and I wouldn’t hesitate to bring future guests on a Delicious Discoveries Tour.

Maya curated a fantastic experience for our IKEA Canada group, guiding us through the Riverside and Leslieville neighbourhoods. This was my second Delicious Discoveries walking tour, and I was reminded of the reason I keep coming back. Maya is a phenomenal guide with a great sense of humour, and a real connection to local establishments and their owners. It was so fun to explore Riverside and Leslieville, learn more about the history of the area, experience street art in unexpected places, and of course, experience some amazing dishes of varied cuisines. We even crossed paths with a local celebrity who warmed my heart and added a little extra magic to the tour. I can't wait for what Delicious Discoveries offers next :)

Great experience as a solo traveller joining the Riverside and Leslieville tour! I really appreciated getting a totally new experience in Toronto, despite having visited the city several times. Maya is a fantastic guide with plenty of knowledge, fun facts and interesting "behind the scenes" stories. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting an authentic experience in Toronto.

A wonderful tour! The food at every stop was delicious, and the variety was excellent (I was especially impressed as a vegetarian). I really enjoyed the walking tour element, too. I've lived in Toronto my whole life but haven't spent a lot of time in Riverside or Leslieville, so it was great to learn more about this corner of the city. I already want to go back and explore more! Maya was a fantastic guide. Highly recommend.

An awesome experience! Maya is knowledgeable and a joy to have as a guide through this historic part of the city. The food choices were excellent, with offerings from wonderful local businesses. There is a variety of food options, so there will be something for nearly everyone. This walking tour is paced well, with food stops placed along the way for well-timed breaks. I got to see parts of the city that I wouldn't otherwise see myself or on other tours, so it's a real treat!
