The Hāna Highway is a 64.4-mile long stretch of spectacular views of rainforest, waterfalls, beaches and coastline. On the east after Kalepa Bridge, the highway continues to Kīpahulu on the Piilani Highway. Although Hāna is only about 52 miles from Kahului, it takes about 2.5 hours to drive when no stops are made as the highway is very winding and narrow and passes over 59 bridges, 46 of which are only one lane wide. There are approximately 620 curves along Route 360 from just east of Kahului to Hāna, virtually all of it through lush, tropical rainforest. Many of the concrete and steel bridges date back to 1910 and all but one are still in use. This full-day trip to the Hana coast has the best scenic drive along the shorelines of Maui.

Hana Highway - Road to Hana
The Hana Highway is a 64.4-mile-long (103.6 km) , longest, coastal scenic route in the world. To the east of Kalepa Bridge, the highway continues to Kipahulu as Hawaii Route 31 (the Piilani Highway). This tour covers 59 single lane bridges, over 640 turns and curves, through lush, tropical rainforest. Most of the concrete and steel bridges date back to 1910.
Ho'okipa Beach Park
Ho'okipa Beach is considered the windsurfing capital of the world, you can enjoy watching wind surfers, kite boarders and surfers challenge the oceans waves and shoreline winds. This is also the Threatened Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle capital of Maui, with 200-pound turtles feeding along the shoreline and basking on the beach all day long. Stops made upon request. 5.00We will always remember our day "surviving the road to Hana". We will call it our Heavenly tour because our guide, Heavenly, was fabulous and then some!!! Heavenly told us about the customs of nature Hawaiians, the meaning of many Hawaiian words, local lore, landmarks, native plants, and outlooks on the road to Hana. Heavenly was kind, empathetic, and compassionate especially to one person in the tour that had motion sickness. We valued our time with Heavenly and could not imagine having a better day or a better tour guide. Thank you so much Heavenly.

5.00Fantastic ride with Malia, she explained all the things we were passing by and was clearly very capable as both a driver and tour guide. Super friendly, fantastic experience and provided insight that no one would get on the drive alone. Highly highly recommend booking a tour with her/ this company. Instead of having to focus on staying on the road if we drove, we were able to take in all the sights while being told what to look for and it was well worth it.

5.00We had the best guide for our trip to Hana. Justine is a native of Maui & very knowledgeable as well as personable. He not only shared his knowledge with all of us - but encouraged us to ask questions. We stopped at local food stands & stops with beautiful scenery. We saw many waterfalls & local foliage & trees. We were served a breakfast of Musabi & a great sandwich for lunch. Water was available throughout the day. I highly recommend this tour - but be sure you ask for Justine as your tour guide & tip him well!!

5.00You have to do this trip. The black sand beach was beautiful. We got to see sea turtles and a seal on the north shore. Banana bread at the stand we stopped at was so delicious. We got to cuddle with cows at one of the stops. We saw water falls and a beach where the lava hit the sea. Kobi our driver was amazing! So funny and helpful. Definitely kept us entertained.

5.00We had an amazing day. We saw waterfalls and beautiful scenic views and beaches. Cobe was our tour guide, he was fun, and shared a lot of information about the island. I would definitely recommend this tour.

5.00Very cool experience and worth doing. The history and stories that the tour guide shared was very informative. Made many stops for snacks and restroom. Tour van was comfortable. Hotel pick up was convenient. Ed our tour guide was spot on great.
A Great Road Trip - But It Gets Long

4.00The Road to Hana is fun - but it's a LONG day. The road truly is unique, with lots and lots of hairpin turns and 54 one-lane bridges. The stops along the way are beautiful; a black sand beach, a gorgeous waterfall (that you could swim to - if you don't mind freezing a little - and if you have the balance and ability to walk over slick boulders). It's a nice way to see the land.

5.00Our tour guide Lepa was amazing !!! She communicated our meal preferences and pick up times. So friendly and extremely knowledgeable about everything possible about Hāna. All our stops were wonderful . She went over and beyond in every way, plenty of water and bathroom stops . I would definitely recommend this tour to everyone ! We loved it all .
