  Jeff was THE best tour guide. We had so much fun and got to see the sites of Roatan. The monkeys and sloth were awesome and the chocolate and rum was fabulous. Definitely recommend. Just make sure you know ahead of time how and where to meet your guide and enjoy!!

  Our guide Cesia was the Best!! She was very accommodating, and knowledgeable on our tour!! 10 out of 10 would recommend!!

• Monkeys, sloth, and rum!

  Came at the end of the rainy season so started off cloudy at the chocolate tasting, was pouring pretty good for the monkeys and sloths, and was looking pretty ominous during the rum tasting so as a group we decided to not do the beach day but get lunch and do another rum tasting. FYI Daniel our tour guide let us know the rainy season in Roatan is October to the beginning of February. Why not a 5 star I'll give you my 2 reasons, the port exit was crowded, chaotic, loud, and a little iffy. I guess you get some excitement and danger out of the get go, so some might see it as a plus. 2nd the rain which isn't their fault just something to think about. The good, our tour guide was very good, very personable and informative. Did a good job of coming up with other things to do in the rain, and got us back to the ship with plenty of time. The monkeys and sloths of course were a highlight even in the rain. All and all a good experience would recommend.

  

  

  

  

  

  

• Monkeys, Chocolat, Rum Oh My!!!

  The monkey park was good because you could actually play with the monkeys and pet the Slough's. Jeff our guide was excellent and knew so much of the Roatan history. He gets 5 stars!!!! Great short tour of the island.

• Sloth Taking a Selfie

  We walked outside the gate (crowd was very aggressive) and found a local taxi driver - Peter Andrew. +504 8884-7322 on WhatsApp. He is also listed on Facebook. He was 1/2 the price of the taxis at the pier. He agreed to $40 total for 4 people all day. He took us to highest point on the island for photos. He took us to the Monkey, Sloth, and Butterfly exhibit (There was a small entrance fee. We had an excellent guide which we tipped also). The glass bottom boat excursion was booked and then canceled on the cruise ship. He called a friend and got another glass bottom boat at another spot on the island. He took us there and that was an extra fee. He then took us to the Chocolate Factory and and then to the Rum Cake Store. We are all in our 70's and 80's. He was careful and considerate of us feeling safe whatever we were doing. We tipped him much more than his fee because he went all out for us.

• Great way to see the island

  Joel drove us in a private car around on the island. We stopped at the monkey and sloth preserve, the chocolate factory, the rum store, and had our beach break. The chocolate factory on other tours from what I understand is different. Ours was more of a shop with less emphasis on the actual making of the chocolate. No reflection on this tour, I just was not very impressed with the person doing the demonstrations with the chocolate. They were rather flippant and just told us briefly a little bit about it and passed us on to where we would get samples, which also was not very engaging. We did get some very good rum though! Just know that the beach they take you to the people at the beach want to charge a day fee to be able to get a chair however, there was no charge if we sat at the restaurant and ordered. We walked up and down the beach and found a little spot that we could sit on with our towels. Most of the beach is roped off for private areas. We were happy though it was still beach time! Joel was very soft spoken, but warmed up and was a great guide!

• Due to changes in laws, sloth & monkey interaction is no longer allowed. The facility was still nice.

  Jeff, our driver was great! LOVED the hot chocolate at the factory and the rum cakes at the rum lasting. Jeff saw to our needs and took us around for picture taking, etc.

  Like others have said, finding the pick up location is a challenge. We had Chanel and she was great. We got to pet the sloth and be in with the monkeys and macaws. The weather wasn’t great, so we didn’t get to go to the beach but everything else was good. We would recommend this tour
