Robben Island Museum
Our third leg of the trip will be a trip to Robben Island and the entire trip including the prison tour to the time when you will return to the starting point will be 3 to 4 hours. Your expert-guide driver will not escort you as Robben Island Museum has its own tour guides and most of them are former political prisoners on the Island. There are plenty of free-roaming African Penguins At Robben Island. DISCLAIMER: The ferry to Robben Island is available subject to conducive weather conditions. Should the Robben Island boat trip get cancelled while already on site due to bad weather conditions, the tour will carry on to long walk to freedom and a refund of the ferry tickets will be issued to you.

5.00Honestly for me, this tour was an absolute highlight of our trip to Cape Town. As someone who wanted to learn more about the History during the apartheid, this tour was perfect. From the moment we were picked up at our hotel, we were in excellent hands. Our tour guide was not only knowledgeable but also passionate about sharing Mandela's story. The Long March to Freedom statues were awe-inspiring, and visiting Robben Island Museum was humbling and enlightening. If you're visiting Cape Town, this tour is a must-do. Huge thanks to our guide for making the experience truly unforgettable.

5.00We visited from America and really enjoyed the tour, very informative. The only drawback was the length of time of transport from the mall to the island. Our ticket was for 3pm and we left at 4:30pm. We stood in line for a hour.

5.00The tour was a most wonderful experience. I am more knowledgeable about the roots of the South African freedom movement. Truly a fortunate experience for my entire group. The tour guide was there for us every step of the way. The walk to freedom speaker/ professor was phenomenal!!!!!

5.00A wonderful experience! We had a former prisoner named Sparks, give us a tour of the prison. He gave a very good explanation about the prison and his experience there. The only issue would be that there was a delay in communication regarding the pickup up time the night before the tour.

5.00Mind blowing experience! While the stories and reality will hit you hard, it is a very memorable experience. The tour itself is given by former Prisoners of the prison. You will learn a lot but it can hit you heavy. The experience itself is pretty crazy. You get to see the prison cells, the yard, kitchen, bathrooms, etc. You get to see it all. You definitely will feel immersed into the experience and learn a lot about what is was like for prisoners on this island. Lots of informative history here.
