We will be on the Wild & Scenic Rogue River, near the town of Grants Pass, Oregon. This river section is known as the Hellgate Canyon Section, and is brimming with spectacular views, fun water, and wildlife sightings. Your guide will train you on basic paddling and river language before you hit a variety of water along the river, including calm pools, small riffles, and class I-II whitewater rapids.
There are ample opportunities to swim, enjoy the scenery, and have fun in splashy whitewater. The river section length is about 10.5 river miles.

Less than 30 minutes away from Ashland, Medford, and Grants Pass, we will launch on the Rogue River as it winds through the lush Southern Oregon landscape. Your guide will train you on basic paddling and river lingo before you splash through some small riffles on your way to the big ones - Powerhouse and Nugget Falls. These two rapids are class III and IV, and are guaranteed to cool you down on a hot summer day. No experience is necessary, we’ll teach you everything you need to know. In the event that you go swimming (either on purpose or not), all participants will be provided with life jackets and helmets.

5.00I had a great time on the half-day Hellgate Canyon tour. I hadn’t been rafting for decades and I am happy to be back on the water. I always felt safe and in good hands. And such beautiful scenery! This small company is run by a super sweet couple. Highly recommended!

5.00Our family had a great experience with Mason and Arrowhead River Adventures. We had a very peaceful trip- just our family on the raft and hardly any other rafts or people. Mason was a professional navigator, very safe and conscientious- we were in excellent hands. Would do a rafting trip again with this company.

5.00This was the first time that I had ever gone river rafting, and it was a really fun time. Our guide, Rea, was a great communicator, and had us rowing in unison through class I and II rapids like pros. There was time to take a swim and we stopped at a small beach for a short break, and ate some snacks that we had brought. Thank you. Rea, we all had a great time on the river!
