Discover a secret wine cellar in the heart of Trastevere, located inside an authentic Roman cistern from the 1st century AD. Enjoy traditional Italian delicacies paired with a selection of excellent wines.
Take a ride on the Tiber River and relax while admiring Rome from a different perspective. Departing from Castel Sant’Angelo, you will sail through the historic center of Rome along the river.
Once at Fabullus Winery, enjoy a unique experience where food and wine come together in a perfect balance of flavors.
Guests can choose between 2 different options:
Experience including wine and food tasting + Tiber River boat ticket
FOOD+WINE ONLY option: the tasting experience only, without the boat ticket.
The menu includes seasonal products certified by Slow Food, as well as selected Italian excellences with DOC, DOCG, IGT, DOP, IGP, and STG certifications.

The food tasting with wine pairing is held at the Fabullus Wine Cellar not on the river Boat
When booking, it is mandatory to communicate any allergies or intolerances to food and drinks.
The River Cruise ticket is valid for one ride only.
Time must be indicated and your ticket is valid for any departure from : 1. Isola Tiberina: Lungotevere Degli Anguillara side 2. Angelo Bridge: Lungotevere Tor Di Nona side

Punctuality is required to fully enjoy the experience. For delays exceeding 20 minutes the tasting could be canceled.

We recommend embarking at St. Angelo Bridge** – Piazza di Ponte Sant'Angelo and disembarking at **Tiber Island Pier**, only 500 meters from the wine cellar.

St. Angelo Bridge
FIRST EMBARKATION POINT SUGGESTED ! Ponte Sant'Angelo, also known as Pons Aelius (Helios Bridge), Pons Hadriani (Hadrian's Bridge), or Castello Bridge, is a bridge that connects Piazza di Ponte Sant'Angelo to the Vatican Lungotevere in Rome, in the Ponte and Borgo districts. It was built in Rome in 134 by the emperor Hadrian, designed by a certain Demetrianus, to connect his mausoleum to the left bank. It was built in peperino and covered in travertine and had three arches, which were accessed via ramps from the shore. The ramps were in turn supported by three smaller arches on the left bank and two on the right bank, leading towards Hadrian's mausoleum, which were destroyed during the 1893 construction of the river banks and replaced by modern arches. The street level had high sidewalks on the sides equipped with travertine balustrades.
Castel Sant'Angelo
Tutto ha inizio nel 135 d.C. quando l'imperatore Adriano chiede all'architetto Demetriano di costruire un mausoleo funebre per sé e i suoi familiari, ispirandosi al modello del mausoleo di Augusto, ma con dimensioni gigantesche. I lavori durarono diversi anni e furono ultimati da Antonino Pio nel 139. Venne costruito di fronte al Campo Marzio, al quale fu unito da un ponte appositamente costruito, il Ponte Elio. Il mausoleo era composto da una base cubica, rivestita in marmo lunense, avente un fregio decorativo a teste di buoi (Bucrani) e lesene angolari. Nel fregio prospiciente il fiume si leggevano i nomi degli imperatori sepolti all'interno. Sempre su questo lato si presentava l'arco d'ingresso intitolato ad Adriano; il dromos (passaggio d'accesso) era interamente rivestito di marmo giallo antico.

5.00I read differing opinions. Yes, some boats are big and others small. The ride is 1h roundtrip if you don’t hop off. But the views from the river are amazing and you can’t beat being able to hop on and off. Worth it!

5.00This was a really nice break from sightseeing all day. Cozy underground space, friendly staff, good explanations without overdoing it, and plenty of wine and food so you never felt rushed there.

2.00Tripadvisor sold me an incorrect tour and my advice is to watch out for wrongly advertised tours through this company. in Rome, we purchased what was advertised as a “Rome Tiber River Cruise and Top Food Tasting”. This turned out be an excellent food tasting with wine pairing experience, but no guide, no one knew of any included “Rome Tiber River Cruise” or even what it might be. We eventually found a River Ferry trip on our own, wasted an hour doing this, and the “Rome Tiber River Cruise” is a little local commuter ferry that runs for about an hour including multiple stops to let commuters get on and off. The banked walls of this area of the Tiber are magnificent, but the general condition of the River edges are a disgrace. Littered by rubbish, weeds and self seeded scrub with a lot homeless persons tents on the banks are an eyesore. I was disgusted by the condition of the River banks in general. I will try and remind all in Rome, Administrators, citizens and the Italian Government that Rome is a treasure and a World renowned living icon. To see this once possibly beautiful river left to rot and decay is a tragedy and all should be ashamed. I remind all who may be responsible for the maintenance of Rome that you are the current custodians and you are responsible at this point to leave this magnificent city, over 2000 years old in a better condition than when you started. The current situation with the Tiber River is a disgrace and needs urgent attention, heavens knows that the number of tourists here at the moment must be pouring huge amounts of money into the local economy and if you are smart, and accept your responsibility, you will go to every effort to address the decay in rome that we have seen. This is not a city being loved to death, it is a city dying of neglect.

5.00Wonderful wine and cheese pairing! Very fun and great host named Genvra. Learned a lot without feeling like I was in school. There were only 2 other couples so it felt very private and the host was very attentive. She did a really great job. Great location near other restaurants and beautiful churches. Would do the wine class again if we come back to Rome. The boat ride was a nice way to see the city from another view, is quick and easy to get from the boat stop to the wine tasting and we could have taken the boat back but we decided to walk after which was an easy walk as well, you’re not taken off the beaten path.

5.00A great wine tasting with antipasti pairing with super nice service and excellent information about the different treats and wines. We stayed as a couple in the very quaint wine cellar of Fabullus and it was really a great experience. Also the river cruise was very worth seeing and super relaxed, but there are no drinks on the boat, these are best to bring. Great tour to spend a birthday in Rome.

1.00This was a terrible experience, I didn't receive a text telling me to attend the dinner first and when we arrived after the boat tour the restaurant was closed. Leaving us out $200 for the meal and seeking an alternative for our dinner. I read the email after returning to our hotel.
Must-see for lovers of the good things of the table!

5.00There are some wine tastings with assortments that are meant to be chic but that are more like a mix of randomly chosen products, but that is clearly not the case here. The products are all handpicked on the wine side as well as on the side, as authentic products, typical, and especially of very good quality. Carlotta was able to guide us during this tasting with mastery of her products and passing on the love for good things to drink and eat. A must-see for all lovers of the good things on the table, which brings a new vision of Rome but also in the much broader sense: Italy.
