Great guide who was knowledgeable, great leadership and good support without being patronising. Exhausting but great fun.

My wife booked us in to climbing Via Ferrata - Intro wall. After discussion with our guide Jakk, my wife decided not to take the climb after our strenuous hike the previous day. I thought it refreshing to come across a guide who is not afraid to make an awkward call. If anything it placated my concerns and made me think that this fellow is a good operator. Jakk ‘s instructions were clear, simple and delivered calmly. On the climb he was unrushed and patient, making the experience a very memorable event. A reasonable level of fitness is required - and a tolerance of heights. The views are spectacular and the fact that you are climbing and walking along a rock face does get the adrenaline flowing - I am still buzzing and smiling about the climb. If nothing else, Jakk was a great guy to hang around with, tethered to a rockface, a few hundred metres above the ground with great views.

My wife's highlight of the trip! We had done a via feratta in Peru, so we had a pretty good idea of what we were getting into on this activity. Our expectations were surpassed entirely by Stian (the guide), the equipment, and the views. While it was tough (you have to be fit to do this comfortably), safety was never a concern. The cables, brackets, and anchors were in good shape, and I never felt any flex or give in them. My wife (and the pictures verify this) reports the views were amazing. I'm scared of heights, so I focused on the mountain and, with Stain's help, was able to do the climb semi-comfortably. ;-) For us, the only downside was the trail down the hill. It was pretty rough, rutted, and steep. Had we known, I think we would have brought hiking poles.
