There is so much you can experience if you have Åndalsnes as a starting point. You can go for hiking or to the Atlantic Ocean. All options are present

A perfect day in Vestveggen with Tindesenteret’s best guide (?!). Olger was a perfect man to take on a trip! Everyone in the group performed both the Langwall and the wire!

This was such an amazing experience. We’re two fairly inexperienced climbers, and this was our first Via Ferrata—but we managed to finish it in under 3 hours! The views were stunning, and our guide, Mathias, was great: super fun, informative, and made us feel safe the whole time. He also took some awesome photos and videos of us, which was a nice bonus. We happened to be the only ones in the group, which meant we got to complete the trickier parts of the west wall and Randers wall. It was definitely challenging at times but also really satisfying and fun. I’m quite short (4’9”), so there were a few moments where I had to put in extra effort, but it was still totally doable. Mathias even gave me a hand once when I got stuck, which I really appreciated. We’re totally hooked and already excited for our next Via Ferrata. 100% recommend this experience!

The views were amazing. Not terribly difficult but does require a good foundation of fitness. Our guide, Isaac, was professional, funny, and told great stories of the trolls that live in the area. Super fun experience 10/10 recommend

We were two completely inexperienced climbers (mother and daughter, 17/43 years old), who had only been in climbing and zipline parks before. We went with a guide, Olger, who was very good. Despite the elevation gain, the trip was fun, challenging and a lot of fun. We were unsure about the overhangs, but these weren't as bad as we feared and we got over them just fine. Strongly recommend!

Mother and daughter went to Via Ferrata Vestveggen. Both without climbing experience. Together with an incredibly skilled guide, Olger, we reached the top with a solid dose of mastery. The trip is full of fun challenges and a view you just have to experience. We definitely recommend this trip. Our funniest holiday this summer☀️

The Romsdalsstigen West Wall is a fun challenge for experienced via ferrata/rock climbers. If you can climb 5.9 in the gym and 5.8 outdoors and have above average physical conditioning and stamina you can do it. Took us 2 hours 45min from the end of the pavement to the gondola but we were NOT in a group and didn’t get stuck behind anyone. I suspect this could truly take the 5-6 hours the website claims in a group. Things to know: -There is no parking at the start and the start is 1.2 miles from the gondola ($350 NOK) which you most likely want to take down after the via ferrata. If possible have someone drop you off at the start of the via ferrata to skip a long walk through town. -There is a decent amount of very steep uphill climbing at the start and in between sections of the via ferrata which was the most difficult part for my husband who is a better climber than me -I could see the via ferrata being difficult if you are shorter than 5ft 4in. There were many sections where I could just barely reach the next clip or hold. If you are shorter I recommend you be a better climber than stated above and be able to use the natural rock more -This via ferrata uses a lot of traditional metal bars/rings/foot holds. There are some brief sections that rely more on natural rock -There are several (I think 4) overhangs that were challenging but have very good holds. You need a little extra upper body strength to get over them -This was fun even on a misty day and kept the wall cooler. You can always take the gondola back up another sunny day and hike the ridge to get the view !

Me (M28) and my girlfriend (K31) had never tried Via Ferrata before, but have climbed indoors. I was my skeptical in advance, as I read several reviews that this should be a difficult and heavy climb. None of us are untrained, and we train some to the usual. We did not experience the trip as physically demanding, and had a lot of energy back. The walk down was almost more tiring than the climb up. The trip was completely insane, some of the roughest I have experienced. Maybe 250-300m right down the steepest. Totally wild! I myself have a healthy skepticism of heights, but this I think was just raw. Not recommended if you struggle with heights, but otherwise this is a fantastic experience. We were unhappy with the weather, a little rain and a lot of fog. But the experience was still superb. We had a guide from the Tindesenter. Very nice and quiet in the wall, but she really never greeted us, so still don't know what her name is. If you haven’t climbed before, you should have a guide.
