Redwoods Altitude is designed to showcase even more of the spectacular Redwoods Forest. From 25 metres up, you will be guided on an exhilarating journey along 25 Indiana Jones style jungle bridges!
Using a continuous safety system, our professional guides will lead you around the 650 metre loop, ensuring your safety and comfort.
Join us as we share local knowledge and stories about the Redwood Forest history, native flora and fauna and Māori legends.
Please allow 2-hours for the entire Altitude experience.
Plus, entry to our new Redwoods Altitude eco-cave.

Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
Participants should be tall enough to reach 180 cm at the crease of their wrist on the measuring chart.
Youths aged 13-15 years can participate without adult supervision, but a guardian must complete the disclaimer on their behalf.
Children aged 10-12 years must be actively supervised by a responsible person 16 years and older.
Long hair and loose items must be secured.
Closed toe footwear only.
No smoking, eating or drinking.
If a participant shows signs of intoxication, they will not be allowed on the tour.
All participants must be able to understand and follow instructions.
All participants to wear appropriate clothing for weather i.e. rain jacket for wet days, warm jacket for cold days.
Participants must be between 30 kg and 120 kg.
Must be in good health, without high blood pressure, heart, back or neck problems, motion sickness, dizziness or other conditions that may be aggravated by the adventure.

Altitude guests will enjoy a 2-hour guided adventure in Rotorua's Redwoods forest. Starting at the Altitude hanger, you'll gear up and take a short walk to the training area, where guides will brief you on equipment use. Then, you’ll embark on a journey along jungle bridges and zip lines, safely connected to a continuous safety system. The adventure ends with an optional controlled descent, followed by a walk back to the hanger. Next to the Treewalk is where our new Redwoods Glowworms eco-cave is located. This experience is fully guided and takes approx. 10 mins to complete.

5.00We had an amazing time on the high ropes. The instructors were great and gave us the confidence to do it - considering we were both afraid of heights! A must do experience in Rotorua. The trees take your breath away. Highly recommend. Thanks to Jordan and the girls we had so much fun.

5.00A must experience! Also, do the package deal with the Night Lights. You get fast tracked entry - which at the time I didn’t fully understand what that meant. Well, the line for people without fast tracked entry went all the way out to the parking lot! I was able to skip the line and wait about 5 minutes for the next group of people to walk the canopy. The High Ropes adventure was so much fun -I have a bit of a fear of heights, but loved every moment. Our 2 guides were fabulous and encouraging. I’d absolutely do it again.

5.00I can always find something to complain about... but not this time. Guides were fantastic, the course is excellent. Difficult at times and challenged my fear of heights, but always felt safe and supported. Awesome to be up in the tree canopy.

5.00Epic!!! Not only was this fun, it was challenging, incredibly designed, beautiful, and daring. The guides were patient and thoughtful when it came to the nerves of being that high up. We felt safe the entire time! There were different challenges throughout. The zip lines were so fun!

5.00This was such a great experience! Not until you're there do you get a true appreciation of the height and being surrounded by the redwoods in the treetop. The guides were great ensuring everyone felt supported and put to ease any doubts. The experience at the end was not something I thought I'd ever do, but so glad I did it

5.00Amazing experience despite the fact that I’m a bit afraid of heights. The redwood forest is just magical. Our guides, Jordan and Tomia were fantastic. They were great coaches and made us all very comfortable high above ground.
