Redwoods Altitude is designed to showcase even more of the spectacular Redwoods Forest. From 25 metres up, you will be guided on an exhilarating journey along 25 Indiana Jones style jungle bridges!
Using a continuous safety system, our professional guides will lead you around the 650 metre loop, ensuring your safety and comfort.
Join us as we share local knowledge and stories about the Redwood Forest history, native flora and fauna and Māori legends.
Please allow 2-hours for the entire Altitude experience.
Plus, entry to our new Redwoods Altitude eco-cave.

Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
Participants should be tall enough to reach 180 cm at the crease of their wrist on the measuring chart.
Youths aged 13-15 years can participate without adult supervision, but a guardian must complete the disclaimer on their behalf.
Children aged 10-12 years must be actively supervised by a responsible person 16 years and older.
Long hair and loose items must be secured.
Closed toe footwear only.
No smoking, eating or drinking.
If a participant shows signs of intoxication, they will not be allowed on the tour.
All participants must be able to understand and follow instructions.
All participants to wear appropriate clothing for weather i.e. rain jacket for wet days, warm jacket for cold days.
Participants must be between 30 kg and 120 kg.
Must be in good health, without high blood pressure, heart, back or neck problems, motion sickness, dizziness or other conditions that may be aggravated by the adventure.

Redwoods, Whakarewarewa Forest
Altitude guests will enjoy a 2-hour guided adventure in Rotorua's Redwoods forest. Starting at the Altitude hanger, you'll gear up and take a short walk to the training area, where guides will brief you on equipment use. Then, you’ll embark on a journey along jungle bridges and zip lines, safely connected to a continuous safety system. The adventure ends with an optional controlled descent, followed by a walk back to the hanger. Next to the Treewalk is where our new Redwoods Glowworms eco-cave is located. This experience is fully guided and takes approx. 10 mins to complete.

5.00Really great experience, great guides. Did the walk with my 10 year old son, we both have never done anything like this and was a bit nervous but they really made us feel safe and looked after. Was a really really great experience. View up above is absolutely breathtaking, walking on the bridges were terrifying but the zip lines and the drop was so much fun. Definitely a must do:)

5.00I am visiting New Zealand on holiday from Seattle, Washington, to see friends. I am not a fan of heights and basically tagged along to try something new. Dani (excuse my spelling if incorrect) and Henry were the fearless guides to lead our group. They were so very kind and hilarious. Their patience with a anxious person like myself was amazing and I was able to do the free fall in the end because they were so awesome. 10/10 recommend doing this, even if you're scared of heights! It was an absolutely incredible experience and I will have these lovely memories with my friends forever!

5.00Highly recommend this adventure! I was initially nervous and quite scared to be honest but up for a challenge! The staff - Dani and Henry, were informative, and excellent guides assisting us with everything we needed to feel safe and get us through each stage of the course. They were also entertaining and fun. Well worth it and I would do it again! The Redwoods were spectacular! Thank you.
