Redwoods Altitude is designed to showcase even more of the spectacular Redwoods Forest. From 25 metres up, you will be guided on an exhilarating journey along 25 Indiana Jones style jungle bridges!

Using a continuous safety system, our professional guides will lead you around the 650 metre loop, ensuring your safety and comfort.

Join us as we share local knowledge and stories about the Redwood Forest history, native flora and fauna and Māori legends.

Please allow 2-hours for the entire Altitude experience.

Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness

Participants should be tall enough to reach 180 cm at the crease of their wrist on the measuring chart.

Youths aged 13-15 years can participate without adult supervision, but a guardian must complete the disclaimer on their behalf.

Children aged 10-12 years must be actively supervised by a responsible person 16 years and older.

Long hair and loose items must be secured.

Closed toe footwear only.

No smoking, eating or drinking.

If a participant shows signs of intoxication, they will not be allowed on the tour.

All participants must be able to understand and follow instructions.

All participants to wear appropriate clothing for weather i.e. rain jacket for wet days, warm jacket for cold days.

Participants must be between 30 kg and 120 kg.

Must be in good health, without high blood pressure, heart, back or neck problems, motion sickness, dizziness or other conditions that may be aggravated by the adventure.

Redwoods, Whakarewarewa Forest

Altitude guests will enjoy a 2-hour guided adventure in Rotorua's Redwoods forest. Starting at the Altitude hangar, you'll gear up and take a short walk to the training area, where guides will brief you on equipment use. Then, you’ll embark on a journey along jungle bridges and zip lines, safely connected to a continuous safety system. The adventure ends with an optional controlled descent, followed by a walk back to the hangar.

Chloe was a PHENOMENAL guide. My husband is terrified of heights and was struggling in the beginning of the course, and almost quit when he got to the first zip line, but Chloe gently encouraged him to know that he was safe. By the third zip line, he was zooming through no problem! And also the tree walk experience at night was beautiful!

Must do! Harnessed in while crossing jungle style bridges, zip lining and a jump at the end all amongst the beautiful Redwoods. My fear of heights was challenged- but an amazing experience!

Me and my friend had an incredible time at Altitude Adventure in Redwoods Rotorua. The experience offered stunning forest views, a great balance of challenge and fun, and excellent safety guidance from the team. We finished the course feeling proud, happy, and full of adrenaline. It’s definitely one of the best outdoor adventures in Rotorua! I highly recommend Altitude Adventure to anyone who loves nature, fun challenges, and breathtaking views. Keep it up!👏🏽👏🏽

Great guides. I was nervous at the start but felt confident in the equipment and team. Real adrenaline rush and boost of confidence. 2 hours flew by. Our friends ranged from agile early 30s to fit early 70s.

This was such a fun experience. Danni and Chloe were brilliant- they were great fun whilst also maintaining super professionalism. As well as plenty of jokes, they also shared some really interesting information about the forest. We definitely felt in good hands when it came to safety, which was helpful when it came to the last obstacle! The rain made absolutely no difference to the activity. This was a brilliant high adrenaline way to enjoy the beautiful forest!

Danni and Chloe (our guides) made this trip amazing! Making jokes and making the trip very fun despite the weather. Almost made me forget we were 25 meters up in the air. The views were so pretty and only got enhanced by the rain. 10/10 would recommend

We were family of 6, youngest 10. Have done previous zip lines in Europe but never one like this, 25 metres up! You really feel like you’re amongst the trees.
