You’ll have the choice to catch the ferry to Rottnest Island from Perth or Fremantle. If you're traveling from Perth, you’ll motor down Swan River to Fremantle before continuing on the journey to Rottnest Island, 25 minutes from Fremantle. How you spend your time on arrival is then up to you! With 20 bays and 63 beaches dotted along the coast, you’ll find plenty of places to snorkel, swim, surf or stand up paddleboard. Or rent a bike (own expense) and pedal along car-free roads to a secluded bay. Families can enjoy kid-oriented activities at the family fun park or aqua park. If you’re a history buff, check out the Rottnest Island Museum, Lomas Cottage, the Salt Store and Exhibition Center or the Pilot Boathouse. You’ll discover why Rottnest Island is a favorite of locals and visitors alike! Just note that all entrance fees and activities are at your own expense. After a full day exploring the island at your leisure, you’ll return on the afternoon ferry to Fremantle or Perth.

Absolutely worth a day trip! Managed to see quokkas up close and they are so friendly 😊 worth the trip i made! Great boat ride too!

Just ask questions as to where everything is, not a lot of signs or help, do your reseach first, and it will be a lot less stressfull!

Very Trusted Team & Vessel. Seating was Clean. Plenty of railing for those who stand. Lower deak seating comfortable & Amenities Clean. Little shop on board is Great Safety Information well spoken The Trip to & from Rotto is Awesome Am returning soon

Over priced. Took 2 hours due to multiple stops at Fremantle. Freezing cold due to air con setting. Air con dripped water on me. Could not hear PA announcements.
Gets you to Rottnest- nice scenery

Nice trip great view - try to go outside if you can. it can be a bit bumpy and some people were taking sea sick tablets but I was fine. It is very expensive

Well organised trip and tour from Perth. The boat was full after a pick up at Fremantle. However there were only 2 of the 4 toilets working and one of these was a Urinal, hence queue for the ladies. The commentary was inaudible in the main cabin, despite me mentioning this to a member of staff. This was the same on the return upstairs. So effectively no-one could hear the safety announcements which is in breach of maritime law.

The 90 minute boat journey is narrated the entire way with vacuous and pointless commentary that prevents you from being able to think straight or talk to whoever you may be travelling with. You might find it fascinating to know for example that the bloke speaking likes to go scuba diving at night, and that he finds seahorses. Kill me now.

Such a lovely experience. The boat ride was good. A bit rough due to winds but Rottnest island made it worth it! Had a lovely time :)

Departed from Perth, easy location to find for pickup/drop off, informative commentary down the Swan River, air conditioned interior with drinks & snacks available on board. Rotto did not disappoint, exceptionally beautiful, will be back & probably stay overnight as lots to see and explore. Fantastic pub grub and various food options available on Rotto as the locals call it.
