Explore the Korouoma Canyon in autumn, when the landscape transforms into a mix of golden forests, rugged cliffs, and flowing waterfalls.
Operated by The Original Aurora Hunters®, Arctic GM is a family-run company with roots in Lapland dating back to the 1600s, combining local knowledge with a focus on small-group experiences and guided hiking.
After pickup, you will travel to Korouoma Nature Reserve, one of Finland’s most impressive canyon areas. The hike takes you through forest trails and along the canyon floor, passing waterfalls and scenic viewpoints that are especially vibrant during autumn.
The pace is moderate, with time to enjoy the surroundings, take photos, and learn about the local nature and landscape.
During the hike, you will stop to enjoy a traditional Lapland barbecue in a natural setting.

Begin your experience with pickup in Rovaniemi and transfer to Korouoma Nature Reserve, located approximately 1.5 hours from the city. On arrival, you will start a guided hike through forest trails leading into the canyon area. The route passes through varied terrain, including woodland paths, open areas, and sections along the canyon floor. During the hike, you will see rock formations, flowing waterfalls, and wide canyon landscapes, especially vibrant during the autumn season. The pace is moderate, with regular stops to enjoy the views, take photos, and rest. Midway through the hike, you will stop at a designated fire site to enjoy a traditional Lapland barbecue with hot drinks. After completing the hike, return transfer to Rovaniemi. Total duration is approximately 6–7 hours.

5.00It was a beautiful experience enjoyed in full because April is a week of the end of the season, there is still snow although not much in the city, in the canyon was full and was beautiful, erik our guide and stat a very kind person a great guide, told us how these frozen waterfalls are formed and how then in winter you do climbing, followed us According to our times, we were just our group and we enjoyed breathtaking views. She prepared us a barbecue and hot drinks it was all very cute! One winter we will come back for more experiences!

5.00Fantastic experience immersed in the nature of the Canyon in Kouroma. In this period (March) the turnout is not much and we fully enjoy the experience. Particular credit goes to William our guide who has shown great passion for this work.

5.00It was a beautiful hike, the park is wonderful, our guide Corantin super photographer who took so many beautiful photos and is an exceptional cook, the best hot dogs in the world! You see the biggest 3 waterfalls, fantastic tour!

5.00I joined the frozen waterfall tour with JB and Pierre and had such a great time. The scenery was stunning, and JB made the hike even more interesting by sharing lots of insightful and engaging information along the way. Everything felt very well organized, and the vibe was relaxed and friendly. The barbecue at the end was a really lovely and cozy finish to the whole experience. Definitely one of the highlights of my trip - highly recommend!

5.00I loved every moment of the tour! Thank you, Will and Hugo, for being the best guides :) The small group size allowed us all to socialise more, which I really enjoyed. Will had plenty of interesting facts about the fauna, flora, and the history of the canyon. It made the experience even better seeing how passionate he is about what he does. He’s also an excellent photographer! The hike is not very challenging, but it can be slippery at times due to ice (depending on the weather). The frozen waterfalls were stunning and change a lot throughout the season. After the hike, we had barbecued sausages (vegan/vegetarian options are available upon request too). Thank you so much for an amazing tour! ❤️

5.00Today we did the walking activity to the Korouma waterfalls with the company Artic GM and the guide Pedro. Everything went very well, the day was perfect, no wind and with a little sunshine. The walk is quiet, adapted to almost everyone and the route is very beautiful. The guide was very friendly, competent and professional!

5.00I made the tour of the Kurouoma waterfalls with the guide Pedro and it was amazing I loved and highly recommend The walk is beautiful The group was excellent Pedro was a fun, friendly guide who gave us the information about what we were seeing along the track, making it very interesting and pedagogical. The weather was very good, which helped The carriage was very comfortable and Pedro drove safely, although the roads are not always the best It's an activity you can't miss in Rovaniemi
