  Great experience! The guys were magnificent, very welcoming and sunny! We loved the fact that the animals are in their natural environment and not at all stressed by tourist activities! Super recommended!

  An incredible experience, which has been on my bucket list for years. The team were amazing in their explanation how to drive the sled, introduction to the dogs and setting the pace. Driving the sled to the reindeer farm was incredible - plenty of time for video and photos en route. Everything from the welcoming hot berry juice and cookies, to discussion about the challenging facing reindeer farming, meeting the animals themselves and the warming soup and chat afterwards was perfectly pitched. The passion and long heritage is clear to see. We then drive the dogs back to the kennels, which was a real bonus. Transport to/from Rovaniemi was very comfortable.   The dog sled ride was simply a dream – being able to drive yourself, feel the energy of the dogs and then pet them was something very special. You immediately noticed how well the animals are doing and how much love and respect they are treated here. That was the most important thing for us. Also the visit to the reindeer was beautiful. We were allowed to feed them, be very close to them and learn so much about them. The atmosphere was just magical. The delicious soup afterwards rounded off the experience perfectly before returning with the dog sled – another unforgettable moment. Everyone was incredibly friendly, warm and authentic. You could feel that people work with passion here and that the welfare of the animals comes first. We are absolutely overwhelmed by this experience and will never forget it.   Absolutely recommend! From the pickup to the brief briefing, the self-driving of the dog sled and the visit to the reindeer farm everything was very nice and well organized. The owner is present at the Huskies and the owner (absolutely authentic Finn) at the farm.

  We enjoyed our time shared with the huskies, reindeer and guides. The huskies were very happy to run and cuddle. We fed the curious reindeer and learned about them. Our guides who are native to this region shared with us their knowledge, funny stories and brought us closer to this special lifestyle. They deeply care about their animals. Each animal has its name and story. We also ate tradtitional soup and had berry juice and cookies in a rural cottage next to the reindeer farm. We felt privileged to have experienced this authenticity and highly recommend this activity.

  This was a fantastic experience that we will never forget. We were picked up from the centre of Rovaniemi and driven around 30 minutes into the wilderness of Lapland, surrounded by miles of beautiful forests. We then met the huskies, who were friendly and happy to be stroked and fussed! We then drove out own husky team through the forest which was honestly one of the best things we've ever done! The dogs are amazing and so well trained. When we stopped, we were able to give the dogs a fuss and the musher told us all about each one. He knew them so well and obviously cared about each one and they clearly loved him back! At the reindeer farm, we had a warm drink in the cabin whilst the reindeer guy told us about his herd and about life in rural Finland. We then fed the reindeer which was amazing! They will come and eat the food from your hands and we were able to get inside the enclosure with some of the older, calmer reindeer. The guy clearly cared deeply about his herd. We thoroughly enjoyed our day here and would highly recommend this experience to anyone. The best thing of all is that the animals come first here. Everything is about their welfare. They are not overworked or mistreated as can happen in some other places so do your research if you are planning a similar experience. North Tours are fantastic!
