Enjoy the beautiful winter road and landscapes of Lapland during the trip to Zoo (abt. 1-1.5 h is one-way from the Rovaniemi), the beautiful animals (more than 60 species of wild animals, living in their natural conditions) of the outdoor Zoo. Ranua Zoo

The tour starts with picking up of the client from the hotel. You will spend unforgetable time in the company of polar animals right near you. Walking distance inside the Zoo is abt. 2.5 km. Firstly, you will meet with the birds and the next part is polar animal in their natural area. After you will have opportunity to have a lunch of traditional Lapland food and buy local sweets from the Fazer local chocolate fabrics shop.

What can I say… my original Uncle Ted never took me anywhere and drove like a snail. Enter Uncle Alex, my newly adopted uncle and an absolute diamond. He was so good that I booked a second tour on the spot (he also claims to be a part‑time hypnotist, which honestly explains a lot). He took me to see polar bears, frozen waterfalls, and even cooked me a sausage on the BBQ, grilled to absolute perfection. The man has skills. Uncle Alex was friendly, flexible, informative, courteous, and somehow managed to get us from A to B like an F1 supremo without ever making anyone feel rushed. If you prefer sitting on a coach with 80 moaning, whinging passengers, then Uncle Alex is not your guy. But if you want a personal, memorable, genuinely fun experience, then Uncle Alex is absolutely the one. Sorry Uncle Ted… I’ve upgraded. I have a new Uncle now.

The tour is well paced, just enough time to enjoy the Zoo. We got lucky to see a polar bear eating his meal or the wolfs roaming around!

Nice good visit to zoo with a comfortable transport. Day visit away from Rovaniemi is ideal option and affordable restaurant near by. Consider this as a transport option only. No other guidance from tour company.

Picked up and driven to the zoo where we were given 2.5 hours to explore the zoo on our own before driven back. Enjoyed the zoo and the scenic drive.

We had a great day at the zoo seeing animals in their natural habitat. Observing the polar beers and spotting the artic fox was the height of our visit. However, we appeared to have conflicting meeting points from different sources, therefore finding our guide was a nightmare. Give yourself extra time to get to meeting point and possibly confirm it prior to going.
Great time. Highly recommend.

Had a great time at the Zoo. Great communication from Alex about pick ups and timings were perfect. Managed to see all the animals out and about doing things so it was a very fun experience.

We had a great day at the zoo, we chose Uncle Alex tours. He picked us up from our accomodation at the time he said, he drove us to the zoo where we got our tickets & Alex took pictures of ourselves for us. The Zoo was well laid out with wooden paths most of the way.He gave us a time to be back at the bus & we made our way back to our accomodation

This tour was great! Small group and great driver. He gave us plenty of time in the zoo and to also get a meal and warm drink afterwards. The bears were hibernating - not the tours fault at all. Just life 😃 still very worth it though.

The main attractions like polar bear and arctic fox etc. were not available. It was not a guided tour. Better take a taxi and buy tickets there only

Alex was great turned up at our hotel on time and drove us to and from the zoo. He provided hot coffee for our journey which was very welcome as it was cold outside. We were very happy with his service.
