A very well executed evening with great service and well prepared, beautifully presented food. So much more than a nostalgic ride. The train itself has been skillfully restored both inside and out. Plenty of photo ops while everyone is in the dining car. I usually assume that the bulk of your payment for such an experience rightly goes to the upkeep of the train and less on the food. Well, I was quite pleased with the meal as well as the attentive and professional staff. Of course there was the ‘tourist’ stop on the bridge spanning Zambia and Zimbabwe replete with merchants and vocal entertainment. It was quite enjoyable but make sure to have some cash handy for tips to the music group and the hard-sell from the vendors.

A truly amazing experience, the wine (red) was very tasty and plentiful. I enjoyed all the courses of food we were given. Lovely scenery on the bridge of Victoria Falls and surrounding area. I thought the gift sellers were a bit pushy, but we were warned by the train manager that it would be so we were expecting it. All in all a great experience and would recommend it to anybody staying in the area.
