Couldn’t have had more fun on this tour! Fox was absolutely the best tour guide! He was full of information, jokes, personality, all while keeping us safe, happy, and hydrated (with rum of course!). 10/10 recommend and would love to come back! Shoutout to bartenders Jeff and Mike for hard work and hospitality as well!

A very knowledgeable guide talked in detail about the history of pirates and rum running on the island. We went to a distillery, a converted nunnery that now makes wine, and a speakeasy where we tasted a flight of different types of rum. Well worth our time and money!

Had a great Rum and Food tour while on a port stop in Nassau. I highly recommend. After a ‘refreshing’ walk to the John Watling’s Distillery, we met our tour guide, Shad. We were greeted with a small sample of Pina Colada, then Shad gave us a Bahamian and Rum history lesson, followed by a tour of the distillery building. Then it was time for our first full sized cocktail and food. Shad ordered us a Skylarkin. This was a mix of John Watling’s Amber Rum, coconut rum, coconut pulp, coconut water and nutmeg. Accompanied by a snack of Conch Fritters, 1 bbq wing drumlette, and 1 sweet chili winglet. All were very good. Next, Shad continued with his Bahamian history and culture as we hoofed it to the next stop, the Graycliff Moonshine Company. Here we sampled some local moonshine. Although 190 proof, it was quite smooth - whatever didn’t evaporate first (lol). Then across the street to sample some local wine. These too, although small samples, were good as well. From here we made a longer trek downtown, all the while Shad providing more local colour. Here he walked us into a nondescript building, up some stairs, past a tattoo parlor to a cipher locked entryway. Behind which was a small local speakeasy - Lucerne. The place was prohibition period based. To be brief, here we had several samples of rum and a couple cocktails, including a Rum Runner that you make yourself. If you can, request Shad. He was a treat. Definitely authentic and colorful. He provided a lot of history (true or not) and articulated in several different accents such as British, Jamaican, and even Italian. Again, I recommend this tour.
