Piedmont (Piemonte in Italian) means "foot of the mountains", Turin, the region's major city isn't just the car capital of Italy and home to the Holy Shroud. Neoclassical piazzas, shops filled with chocolates and chic fashions, and elegant Baroque palazzos have been restored in grand style.
We’re a small team, we want you to discover the beauty of Turin. Piedmont is a region rich in history, well worth visiting at least once in a lifetime. We suggest, but you decide what you want to see and do. Our group are max 4 people,we are in no hurry, we do the tours with a lot of relax.

Sacra di San Michele A forbidding fortified abbey anchored atop a rocky hill, the Sacra di San Michele. To reach the church, you must climb 150 steps, past 12th-century sculptures, from the Porta dello Zodiaco, a splendid Romanesque doorway decorated with the signs of the zodiac. On the left side of the interior are 16th-century frescoes representing New Testaments themes; on the right are depictions of the founding of the church. Note that some sections of the abbey are open only on weekends and, when particularly crowded, visit may be limited to hour-long tours. Weather permitting, the views from the walls and terraces surrounding the church are breathtaking. If the weather is snowy you cannot reach the Sacra di San Michele , the tour guide will suggest an alternative itinerary

The sacra is imposing from the village below and from the outside. The interior is a bit sparse. We did a special guided tour, very good guide but not worth it. interesting the staircase of the dead, the portal of the zodiac and the church that you can visit independently. The library of the Rosminian period with some interesting volumes but for the rest you can not expect, both in structure and volumes, a library like the Queriniana in Brescia or Melk and Saint Florian in Austria, The sacred can be reached in 5 minutes from the paid parking, always full, or in 20 minutes from the hamlet of San Pietro, but even here there are few places.

Make sure you give yourself a many hours to visit this museum & palace. The various displays are just so wonderful but you lose track of time. The artefacts date from many years B.C. and offer a wonderful insight into many aspects. The entrance cost covers the visit to the chapel of ‘The shroud of Turin’. This is a must visit site for all ages

The market is interesting… great cheeses in the indoor part. The outdoor veg market is very colourful but… had my phone stolen ! Never happened before thankfully and very distressing especially as everything is on our phones these days. Please be wary! I would not go here again. The rest of Turin is wonderful… this was our second trip and will return.

The Porta Palazzo market is a historic market, made up of many colors and people from different parts of the world, which make it a special place. The market is located at the entrance to the historic Via Milano, overlooked by the Duomo and a series of spectacular period buildings. But you will see that the entire area will offer you the opportunity to shop walking transactions history. The market has a part dedicated to clothing, shoes, bags etc. and a part dedicated to food, from vegetables, fruit, meat etc. I haven't visited the new part yet, where I know you can also eat, but I will soon and so for those who follow me, you will read new updates soon.

A huge market , both outdoors and indoors. There is everything for sale, from Persian carpet to underwear, fruit, meat, fish, shoes, you name it. Only in the morning, but wonderful to look around.

Very over-rated outdoor market. Lots of fresh produce that looked beautifully ripe. It was not…purchased strawberries, apricots, cherries. Only ate the strawberries (they were sweet and quite good) but the cherries and apricots were way too tart and apricots looked ripe but were rock hard (we were not allowed to touch so relied on the person in the stall). If you’ve been to La Boqueria Market in Barcelona you will be sorely disappointed. More like a swap meet or really cheap flea market in US. Watch out for pick pockets!!!! The positive if you walk away from the open air market down the side streets you’ll find cute cafes and shopping.

Charming neighborhood with cobbled streets, restaurants & shops. Market some days with a large selection, both clothes, utensils, fruit and vegetables etc.

Europe's largest outdoor market This market is a huge meeting point for people of all cultures and ethnicities and inside you can find products of all kinds... from food products (from Piedmontese products at km0 to exotic ones from various corners of the world) to clothing, passing through household products, electronics, accessories for the car, stationery and so on. The market is open every morning from Monday to Friday, while Saturday remains in the afternoon. Whether you are a tourist or a local, take the opportunity to visit this great point of exchange of goods and cultures that the Savoy city possesses. Also the average prices of the goods that are sold here, are quite low. Finally the advice I can give you in case you decide to come here, is to only pay attention to your personal belongings in the most crowded places, to avoid unpleasant theft. But with this I am not telling you that it is a dangerous place, and so in addition to the simple precautions you have to take, you can walk around the market quietly without anxiety. PS the market can be reached in no more than 10 minutes on foot from Piazza Castello and also can be reached from Porta Nuova by tram 4 and bus 11; and from Porta Susa by buses 51 and 19.
