Embark on the first day of your exhilarating 2 Day Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu Tour with Peru Hikers. The adventure starts from the historic city of Cusco. This adventure promises a day filled with exploration, discovery, and awe-inspiring landscapes, guided by our expert tour guides. We'll depart from Cusco at 7:30AM in the morning and journey into the heart of the Sacred Valley. Our first stop will at Alpaca Farm, then, the town of Pisac, renowned for its vibrant market and impressive Incan ruins. Then, we'll continue our journey along the banks of the Vilcanota River to Urubamba, where we'll enjoy a traditional Peruvian lunch. After lunch, we'll ascend to the fortress of Ollantaytambo before taking a scenic train ride to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, we'll settle into our accommodation, anticipating visiting Machu Picchu the following day.

Are you ready for an adventure? Let's head to the Pisac ruins, where you'll get to immerse yourself in the rich Inca culture and marvel at their intricate stonework and terraces. Oh, and don't forget to check out the bustling handicraft market of Pisac! You never know what unique treasures you might find there. And after all that exploring, how about indulging in a delicious Andean lunch? Sounds like a perfect day to me!
Ollantaytambo
After a filling lunch, take a serene journey along the Urubamba River towards Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival, immerse yourself in the rich history of the Incas by exploring the fascinating ruins in the area. Don't miss the chance to witness the awe-inspiring rock formations that depict the Inca deity, Wiracocha.
Aguas Calientes
To end the day on a high note, consider taking a scenic train ride to Aguas Calientes and spending the night in a comfortable hotel. You can catch the train from Ollantaytambo either at 15:37 or 19:04, but it's best to book in advance to ensure availability.

5.00Peru Hikers was a great company to work with for out trip through the sacred valley and then to macchu Picchu. Sandro took such care of all the details on the sacred valley tour. His professionalism, patience and passionate attention to detail in presenting the facts about the places we visited was just awesome. Berny was such a nice and safe driver as we moved through the country. The tour was well paced and our 5 children ages 9-25 found all the stops so engaging. Isao met us when we arrived in aguas calientes and made sure the transition from train to hotel was smooth and the plan was clear for the next day. Isao met us in the morning and everything went perfectly at our time at Machu Picchu. As we watched others moving through the site, we felt like we were getting a better experience than everyone around us. Like Sandro he told us about everything with such interest in the details. There was no sign that they give the tour many times before. They were eager to answer our questions and attend to our interests. Peru hikers far exceeded our expectations in every way. There is some stress to booking a trip with so many variables so far from home and they really anticipated and took care of everything. If you are traveling from abroad, you can book with Peru hikers with confidence that everything will work out so well. Highly recommend!

5.00My husband and I had an amazing time exploring the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu with our tour guide, Isao. Having traveled all over the world, I can confidently say that Isao is one of the best guides out there. He was informative, kind, spoke excellent English, and there was no pressure to buy anything. Oh, and his photography skills are near professional! We even learned a few tricks from him. Isao focused on our travel priorities while making sure we saw the best sites/views without feeling rushed. I’ve gained a new respect for the amazing country of Peru after our educational and fun tour.

Everything was perfectly organized, and the highlights were the guides JD and Isao they were incredible,we loved at the end of the days seeing our family photos that will treasure forever.
