Sacred Valley
After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco and driven to the northern part of the city. Our first stop is the incredible Llama Experience, where you have the opportunity to interact with these enchanting creatures, feeding them and learning all about the fascinating world of camelids. Continuing on our journey, we make several brief stops along the way. Our next destination is the town of Pisac. Explore the magnificent Inca site and immerse ourselves in the vibrant atmosphere of the town itself. We follow the meandering path of the Urubamba river, and we finally arrive in Ollantaytambo. In the midst of breath-taking natural scenery, we eat a lunch at a nearby restaurant. In Ollantaytambo, our exploration continues as we delve into the mysteries of the Inca site, marveling at structures that have stood the test of time. We will board the train to Machu Picchu pueblo, also known as Aguas Calientes. Upon your arrival, we will ensure a transfer to your hotel.

Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu
Early in the morning, head to the bus station for the 25-minute drive up to Machu Picchu, visit the best spot, and take a guided tour of the citadel. If you choose to go super early, you can reach the citadel in time to see the sun rise over the Inca site. The magnificent handiwork of the Incas is abundantly evident even after centuries; this was first set into place by engineers and architects. The precision of the carved walls contrasts sharply with the wild, green mountains and steep highlands. Huayna Picchu and the Drawbridge are optional places to see and visit. The more adventurous will take a 55-minute climb up the nearby peak of Huayna Picchu. Officials limit the number of visitors to Huayna Picchu to 400 per day, and tickets need to be purchased in advance. After your Machu Picchu day, you will take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes and return to Ollantaytambo. Note: The train tickets are not included. So we can book it for an extra cost.

5.00We had an incredible experience with Fredy from Inca Soul Peru, and I truly can’t recommend him enough. He organized a seamless two-day private tour for us that included the Sacred Valley, private transportation, and Machu Picchu—and honestly, I don’t know how we would have done it without him. The Machu Picchu logistics alone felt overwhelming at first. Between the different circuits, entry times, and coordinating everything with train schedules, it was confusing and a little intimidating. Fredy handled all of it flawlessly. Every detail was taken care of, and all we had to do was show up and enjoy the experience. I was actually traveling solo when I first booked the trip, but along the way I met some friends who wanted to join. Fredy was able to adjust everything literally last minute and still managed to coordinate it perfectly. That level of flexibility is rare, and he made it feel effortless. What made it even more special was that Fredy personally guided us through the Sacred Valley on day one. It didn’t feel like a typical tour at all—it felt like we were exploring with a friend. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, but more importantly, he knows how to make the experience feel personal and meaningful. He took us to places I don’t think most people get to see, and along the way, we happened upon a local festival. Because we were on a private tour, Fredy was able to adjust our plans on the spot so we could fully experience it. Those are the kinds of moments you just can’t plan—and definitely wouldn’t get with a large group tour. He also took amazing pictures for us along the way. This ended up being one of the most memorable parts of our entire trip. If you’re considering a tour of the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu, go with Fredy. It makes all the difference.

5.00We booked a two-day trip and had the most wonderful experience. Thanks to Fredy and his team, who took care of us from start to finish. Fredy is truly the best tour guide I’ve ever met. From the moment we booked, he stayed in touch—coordinating our travel times, answering every question, and making sure all our admission tickets, train and bus rides, and hotel bookings were perfectly arranged. At every destination, Fredy made us experience the place rather than just see it, and that really stood out for me. He is kind, patient, and incredibly accommodating. He even went the extra mile to surprise us with an anniversary cake in the middle of nowhere—a gesture we’ll never forget. Throughout the trip, he felt more like family than a guide. The Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu are breathtaking on their own, but Fredy made the experience truly unforgettable. I would 100% recommend this tour.

5.00Fredy gave us one of the best experiences with this tour. We are glad we chose Inca Soul. Machu pichu experience was made memorable too, guided by Cesar. They treated us like a family, gave a personalized experience and even went above and beyond to make it the best tour experience ever. I DEFINITELY recommend them for Cusco/Machu Pichu trips.

Our guides, Freddy and Guido. were exceptional—deeply knowledgeable about Inca history and cosmology, narrating stories and symbolism that brought the ruins to life. The commentary was both scholarly and accessible, adding layers of meaning to every terrace, stone, and sunrise glow. Their passion and expertise clearly mark them as some of the best guides around. The logistics for our tour were flawless: seamless transfers in Ollantaytambo ensured we arrived at our PeruRail Vistadome train stop with time to spare, and every step of the journey felt professionally managed. From pickup in Cusco to the return, the service was courteous, punctual, and efficient. If you want a stress-free, insightful, and beautifully executed Machu Picchu sunrise experience, Inca Soul is an excellent choice.

5.00Our two day tour was one of the highlights of our trip to South America. Inca Soul was great to work with and organised all transport making the journey carefree (we were a group of 10). All the stops during the tour were interesting with no random visits to factories for “toilet breaks” to sell you unwanted things. Fredy was a great guide who demonstrated a wealth of knowledge for history on the areas we visited. He was also incredibly charismatic and brought a lot of fun to the tour. Will be using Inca Soul again when we return to Peru.

5.00My husband and I went on the 2-day trip with Fredy and Inca Soul, and words truly cannot describe what an incredible journey it was! We started in Cusco, where Fredy picked us up in a very comfortable van stocked with plenty of bottled water for the drive. Our first stop was Chinchero, where we learned about traditional indigenous textile craftsmanship and purchased beautiful hand-made goods. We then continued to Maras, the salt mines, Moray, an Inca archaeological site, and finally the charming town of Ollantaytambo. Fredy’s wonderful storytelling brought each destination to life! We enjoyed a fantastic lunch in Ollantaytambo before heading to the train station for our first-class Vistadome journey. Although there was a minor delay (not Fredy’s fault), he kept us entertained and informed throughout. When we arrived in Aguas Calientes, the hotel arranged by the company was perfectly located right by the river; we even left our door open that night to fall asleep to the soothing sound of the water. The next morning, Fredy picked us up early for our sunrise tour of Machu Picchu at 5 a.m. Trust me, it was absolutely worth it! We arrived before the crowds and captured stunning photos of this magical world wonder. Seeing the ruins on your own is one thing, but experiencing them with a knowledgeable local Incan guide like Fredy makes it unforgettable. He shared stories and insights that made the ancient walls come alive. All in all, I would 120% do this trip again with Inca Soul and Fredy. The company handled every detail seamlessly, so all we had to do was show up and enjoy the experience. What an amazing journey. Highly, highly recommended!

5.00Our trip to Peru was absolutely unforgettable, and that was all thanks to Inca Soul! Every part of our itinerary was so well-planned and customized to our groups needs/interests— hotels, transportation (including in the middle of the night to the airport!) , & daily activities. Traveling in Peru without any guidance would’ve been extremely difficult, so I am glad we had Fredy and his team to handle all of the logistics and itinerary!! Fredy was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful throughout the entire process, always checking in to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our time. His team and other guides were very kind as well and ensured we had a nice trip. I am already missing Peru and thinking of my next trip back, will def use Inca Soul when I return. Highly recommend!!!!

5.00Overall we thought our guide and driver were excellent. What would have made this better? I think some options around where we could eat and maybe the train times to get to Aguas Calientes. We felt this was a great value trip in timing, knowledge of our driver and guide, and cost.

5.00Fredy was fantastic! After speaking with him, we organized much of our Machu Picchu experience with him and his team and it was fabulous! Guido led us on our Inca Trail hike and the logistics were perfectly coordinated - the boxed lunch was especially delicious! The Sacred Valley tour was super scenic, he allowed time for leisurely stops along the way, lots of great photo opportunities. The schedule is flexible, his driver is reliable (clean comfortable vehicles), and we felt completely safe throughout. Inca Soul took care of all the logistics (trains/busses/entrance tickets) so we didn't have to worry about timing and purchasing tickets individually. Everything was on time as scheduled, and the communication was easy and efficient. Highly recommend Fredy and his team at Inca Soul while in Peru!!!
