Amazing aquatic adventure with Bosnian BBQ awaits at this magnificent spot. Kayaking down tranquil and serene river on this self guided tour is an unforgettable event that leaves nature lovers in awe. Enjoy wildlife sightings, especially migration of great birds Europe-Africa such as Great Heron (only in migrating season, early spring and fall).

After pick up in Mostar, embark on a 25 min drive to the Cold River kayak camp. First we shall go through the safety procedures necessary to have smooth and enjoyable experience. Bunica is slow and calm river so it is easy to paddle up and down and we shall let you explore on your own and at your own pace. Stop where you want and go when you want.

The amazing sight shall be revealed for you where whole river springs out of deep blue hole tucked in between steep cliffs. get incredible photos.

Then, descend down the river and enjoy sounds of nature. BBQ lunch awaits served at the camp.. After leisurely lunch we start heading back to Mostar.

After the scheduled pick up in Mostar our river kayak adventure starts at Cold river Camp, where we go through briefing of planned activities and safety procedures.

Bunica river is very safe and easy to paddle river. Its serene beauty leaves no one untouched and that is why we allow our guests to roam by themselves where they get to relax and move at their own pace. After a short paddling, you arrive at the most magnificent gem of nature, the spring of the river. The whole river comes out of ground in the peaceful manner after it traveled underground for many kilometres through mountains and hills of the East Herzegovina. This awesome spring sits at the bottom of a hill and is surrounded on three sides by stone cliffs. At one point you shall have to get out of kayaks, get a little wet in chilly water and cross the rocks. Bring a set of dry clothes. We spend some time at this magical spot just relaxing and embracing beauty . We continue adventure by slow paddling down the river where each new curve provides gorgeous views of ancient tree line. Summer breeze will keep us cool while it dances on the leaves of willows creating most soothing sound.

We had a wonderful time on this trip. Alem is an outstanding host who is more than happy to share his personal story, as well as his knowledge of Bosnia and its history. The kayaking itself was easy, as there is no current and the kayaks were very stable in the water. The area is very picturesque and peaceful with many sightings of ducks and other birds along the way. Lunch was absolutely delicious and the two vegetarians in our group were well-catered for. Overall, a great day out - the kayaking was fun without being too strenuous, Alem was entertaining and knowledgeable, and the food was fresh and tasty. Thank you Alem!

What an amazing experience! Alem was such a great guide. He was very knowledgeable about the area and provided some very good insight into what life in Mostar is like! The kayaking was so much fun and the views around the spring were second to none. The BBQ food was the best we had in Mostar, great portion sizes, delicious authentic food and tasty beer! This is a must do experience for every one!

By far one of the most magical places we ever visited. Alem was very welcoming and accommodating and even provided us with transport from Mostar to the location. Even though me and my partner's planning was chaotic at times, Alem always had a solution and remained someone we could trust. His knowledge of the history of the area is extensive and very interesting. Every part of the process went smoothly. The kayak adventure itself was breathtaking with the most blue water you've ever seen and I can wholeheartedly recommend this for future travellers!

One of the best kayaking experience we have ever had, you get the whole turquoise spring to yourself and it’s so calm and relaxing. Alem is the best host, he made sure we enjoyed the experience and organized a bbq dinner at the river side on a boat, what a beautiful scene to experience. Thank you Alem for this wonderful experience and if you are looking for a beautiful peaceful kayak nearby mostar, this is the place to go. Enjoy the experience.

Very nice natural experience and good food. The business owner is very open to share any local tips. The drive to the kayaking location passes by many interesting spots too.

The most peaceful morning on the water! Mili and Alem made the drive to and from the camp very enjoyable and gave us lots of information about the surrounding area! The water was the most beautiful turquoise blue, freezing cold but well worth the dip! Beers and BBQ to finish the tour was just delightful! Incredible food, beautiful people, highly recommend!!

We were 5 family members ranging in age from 16 to 75 and it was an unforgettable experience. We went in two kayaks from the camp to the spring from which we drank water. Turquoise waters, cold but refreshing in the summer heat. Afterwards, we went downriver for a kilometer with Mili, a charming guy who accompanied us throughout the entire trip and who also told us very interesting things about Mostar along the way. Upon arrival, they made us a delicious barbecue accompanied by some beers, spring water, couscous, and a salad, cooked by Alem, another charming and helpful person. We took with us wonderful memories of an unforgettable experience, accompanied by hospitable, friendly, and unparalleled people. We can only thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your work and welcome 🛶❤️

If you are looking for a unique experience and would like to spend a half day away from the city, this is a great trip. Allam is a wonderful host. He has built a camp along a quiet scenic river. 2 hours of kayaking in calm water, followed by a delicious bbq. A perfect day!
