This extraordinary 6-day journey begins in La Paz and takes you across some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the Bolivian Andes, combining adventure, comfort, and authentic high-altitude experiences.
Along the route, we explore the remote beauty of Sajama National Park, home to Bolivia’s highest mountain, ancient Andean culture, volcanic scenery, geysers, hot springs, and native wildlife roaming freely across the Altiplano.
The expedition then continues south toward the Salar de Uyuni, where endless white horizons, colorful lagoons, surreal deserts, and dramatic volcanic landscapes create one of the most spectacular experiences in South America.
Throughout the journey, accommodations have been carefully selected to provide comfortable stays in some of the most remote and extraordinary regions of the Andes.
Crossing the remote highlands of Bolivia, we finally arrive in the Atacama Desert in northern Chile, concluding an unforgettable journey through the heart of the Andes.

Your journey begins with a private pickup from your hotel in La Paz. From there, we travel approximately 5 hours across the vast landscapes of the Bolivian Altiplano toward Sajama National Park. Along the route, we enjoy ever-changing Andean scenery, including volcanic landscapes, open highland plains, and opportunities to observe native wildlife such as llamas, alpacas and Andean birds in their natural habitat. Upon arrival in Sajama, we settle into one of the area’s most comfortable lodges, carefully selected to provide warmth and comfort in this extraordinary high-altitude setting. Later in the afternoon, we explore the ancient Queñua forest, one of the highest native forests in the world, followed by a visit to the traditional historic colonial church. As the day comes to an end, we enjoy the magical light of sunset with breathtaking views of the majestic Sajama Volcano — a perfect moment for photography and to experience the peaceful silence of the Andes.

Today is dedicated to exploring the extraordinary landscapes of Sajama National Park, one of Bolivia’s most remote and breathtaking protected areas. Surrounded by snow-capped volcanoes and endless Altiplano scenery, we visit geothermal areas with active geysers and fumaroles, where steam rises from the earth in the Andean highlands. Throughout the day, we explore beautiful high-altitude lagoons where flamingos and other Andean birds can often be observed against the volcanic backdrop of the park. There are also excellent opportunities to encounter native wildlife, including vicuñas, alpacas, and llamas roaming freely across the vast plains beneath the mountains. Later, we enjoy time at the natural hot springs, where you may relax in warm thermal waters surrounded by mountain views and the peaceful silence of the Andes.

After breakfast, we begin our journey south across the immense landscapes of the Bolivian Andes toward the legendary Salar de Uyuni. Today’s drive takes approximately 7 hours, crossing remote sections of the Altiplano and spectacular mountain scenery along the Andean cordillera. Along the route, we pass through traditional villages, open highland plains, volcanic landscapes, and ever-changing panoramas that reveal the raw beauty of Bolivia’s wilderness. Throughout the journey, there are opportunities to observe native wildlife, dramatic rock formations, and the vast silence that makes this region one of the most unique destinations in South America. By the afternoon, we arrive at the Salar de Uyuni, where the endless white horizon creates one of the most extraordinary natural landscapes on Earth.

After breakfast, we depart from the hotel and begin our exploration of the legendary Salar de Uyuni, the world’s largest salt flat and one of South America’s most extraordinary natural wonders. Crossing the immense white landscapes of the salar, we visit the famous salt mounds, vast reflective plains, and unique geological formations that create surreal scenery unlike anywhere else on Earth. We continue to Incahuasi Island, a spectacular rocky island covered with giant ancient cacti and surrounded by endless white horizons, offering breathtaking panoramic views across the salt flats. Later, we enjoy a private lunch experience in the middle of the Salar with beautiful views toward the majestic Tunupa Volcano — a unique moment immersed in the silence and immensity of the Altiplano. Before ending the day with a spectacular sunset over the Salar de Uyuni, as the changing colors of the sky reflect.

After breakfast and pickup from the hotel, we begin our journey toward the remote landscapes of the Southern Altiplano, one of the most spectacular and untouched regions of Bolivia. Crossing volcanic plains and vast highland scenery, we visit a series of beautiful Altiplanic lagoons, including Cañapa, Hedionda, Ramaditas, and other hidden lakes surrounded by mountains and dramatic desert landscapes. Along the route, there are excellent opportunities to observe pink flamingos, Andean wildlife, colorful mineral lagoons, and impressive volcanoes rising above the silence of the Altiplano. We also explore the fascinating Valley of Rocks, where giant volcanic formations shaped by wind and time create surreal natural scenery in the middle of the desert. Later, we continue through the famous Siloli Desert, known for its immense open landscapes, volcanic colors, and unique high-altitude wilderness that make this region one of the most extraordinary areas of the Andes.

Along the route, we visit the iconic Stone Tree, a remarkable volcanic rock formation sculpted by centuries of wind erosion in the middle of the high-altitude desert. We then explore the stunning Red Lagoon, famous for its intense colors, Andean wildlife, and large colonies of pink flamingos. Continuing across the remote wilderness of the Eduardo Avaroa Reserve, we visit active geysers and volcanic fumaroles before arriving at the Polques hot springs, where you may enjoy the extraordinary scenery surrounded by mountains and geothermal landscapes. Later, we cross the surreal Dalí Desert, known for its dreamlike volcanic scenery, before reaching the beautiful Green Lagoon and White Lagoon at the foot of the Licancabur Volcano near the Chilean border. After completing the border formalities, we continue toward San Pedro de Atacama, Chile, where we will comfortably transfer you to your hotel of preference.
