We offer You the most comprehensive city tour itinerary on the market. The tour includes a visit to all major monuments in Salalah and adds exploration of interesting natural sites as well. You will start the trip with a visit to the interior of Sultan Qaboos Mosque, the largest mosque in Salalah. Then you will take a walk in the heart of Salalah´s vast coconut and banana plantations where you can see the irrigation system and taste all kinds of local fruit. In the old Haffa quarter, you will take in the atmosphere of the traditional frankincense market. Next, you will proceed to the Museum of The Frankincense Land situated in the area of the medieval port of al Baleed. Our specialized tour guide will explain to you the details in the History Hall and Maritime Hall of the museum. You will end the tour by exploring the ecosystem of the Dahariz lagoon on the edge of the city where you can spot flocks of flamingos, herons, and other waders.

5.00Ali Almaashant was a great guide as he was local, having grown up in the mountains, but he had learnt his english in the UK. He was knowledgeable about all areas of Omani life & was flexible, within reason, about the city tour. Hope his mum is recovering.

4.00We visited after sightseeing in Muscat. It feels a lot more rural than Muscat. The mosques and other things seemed a size smaller. However, there were trees lining the streets and fruit was sold on the street, so it was a bit different from Muscat. We were given an efficient tour of the city and were able to get a feel for the atmosphere of Salalah.

4.00The mosque and the Frankincense museum are worth seeing. A very clean and pretty small city. You only need a few hours. We did not go to the beach. Our guide Said was very nice and informative. Unfortunately he was not allowed to enter the port to pick us up. We had to take a shuttle bus to a mall to meet up with him. Definitely a drawback to the excursion.
