  This was my first time ever trying Kendo, and I honestly had such an amazing experience. I loved learning the basics, the techniques, and the movements—and even getting the chance to spar with Mr. Tash! Everyone was incredibly kind, respectful, and genuinely excited to share their knowledge. It made the whole experience feel really welcoming and enjoyable. Also, amazing workout that made me push harder. I had so much fun and would absolutely do it again and again, made me want to stay even longer to learn more! 11/10 experience!! Best tip, the equipment they give will 100% protect you, and take time with the movements to get them down. Thank you for my first Kendo experience, it was the best! - Markis Duffy

  Toshi and Yumiko were amazing! They were entertaining, encouraging and made this experience so much fun. We don’t have a martial arts background so we’re unsure what to expect, but this is a unique experience that we’ll be talking about for years to come. If you’re looking for something different and are of a reasonable fitness level, this is an activity that I’d highly recommend. Thanks again Toshi and Kumiko, we had a blast!

  Toshi & Kumiko were amazing at guiding us and showing us the ropes. Everything was super clear and was not intimidating at all! They were very helpful and understanding at showing us how to spar respectfully and properly. Would definitely suggest to friends!

  This experience was originally just supposed to be a side trip, but it became one of the highlights of our time in Japan. Toshi and Kumiko were fantastic. They were very approachable, knowledgeable, and extremely patient. We had such a fun experience and learned so much. Toshi was very professional and clearly passionate about teaching a sport he loves. You will definitely learn the basics of Kendo. All of the exercises are pressure-free, yet he still makes sure that you truly learn. We were all smiles throughout the entire experience. There’s no need to worry about photos either because they take amazing pictures—so just relax, enjoy, and learn from the experience. If you’re looking for a unique and authentic experience here in Osaka, we highly recommend this one!!

  It was an amazing experience , I came with five of my friends as a private experience we had alot of fun playing dual matches against each other. The instructor toshi was very good and each of us had a match against him. Would highly recommend to do kendo at this dojo

  This Kendo experience was amazing! Toshi and Kumiko were lovely, they were very informative and easy to understand. On top of learning Kendo we were also taught the history of how it came to be which was very interesting. Toshi and Kumiko also have a great sense of humour so expect a very relaxed session as long as you’re respectful of all the instructions they give.

  Authentic kendo experience for the samurai feel Toshi and Kumiko, owners of the dojo sincerely took care of us and made the lesson very educational and entertaining. Highly recommend when visiting Osaka, Japan

  This was an incredible experience and sooooo much fun. Our instructor gave us very clear and easy instructions that we were able to follow without getting confused. I had so much fun especially since this has been a dream of mine for years!
