Lying in the Naukluft national park, south of Walvis Bay, Sandwich Harbour is a truly pristine natural highlight of Namibian landmark attractions. Massive sand dunes engulfed by Atlantic tides; the reed lined lagoon fed by freshwater springs is haven for many wetland birds. Desert ostrich, jackal, springbok etc are often spotted on the way into Sandwich Harbour. Climb up the dunes and having a 360° bird-eye view of the endless horizons, hear the splashes of sand dunes being washed into the tides, perhaps could be one of the most exhilarating moments in your life. This is one of the best experiences we have had. The views were unreal, lunch was great and ride to/from was fun. Our guide Rudy was funny, knowledgeable and accommodating. We even brought our kids and they enjoyed it. If you’re in the area, this tour is a must!

Our trip to Sandwich Harbour with SunSail was an absolute highlight of our trip! The 4x4 took us through breathtaking dune landscapes where sea and desert meet in an impressive way. A special thank you goes to our driver Berti, who not only had his vehicle, but also the dunes perfectly in control! With a lot of experience, humor and exciting information about the region, he certainly led us through the adventure. We always felt in good hands – and had a lot of fun! The drive through the steep dunes was spectacular, the view of the Atlantic just magical. Even for photo enthusiasts a dream! Conclusion: Anyone visiting Namibia should not miss this excursion. Absolute recommendation – and if possible, ask for Berti! 😉

Great communication with the provider, given we didn’t have phone access we were able to contact via WhatsApp and arranged easy and convenient pick up. Our tour operator Max was polite and provided great service and was very informative and knowledgeable about the area. He was helpful and considerate of our needs. Views were fantastic, vehicle was clean, food on offer was plentiful and delicious. Great day out. Thank you

WOW! The 4x4 Adventure down to Sandwich Harbour ... what an amazing experience. Our guide, Ruby has an incredible personality, he had us laughing the whole way. Not only does he have a wonderful persona his knowledge of the area and Nabimia as a whole was extremely insightful. He also went out of his way to show us the sand makeup, and iron within the sand. Added bonus for me, was that he knew where to get the best pics! I would highly recommend this tour company; their vehicle is in immaculate condition and the light snacks/ drinks was really well prepared.
Magical experience, definitely recommend !

We definitely had the best of both world ! The morning boat ride was quite foggy but despite that, it was an incredible experience. The 4×4 tour was AMAZING, thanks to our pilot Max, who is a real Max Verstappen ! Breathtaking landscape and high sensation ! Magical !

Amazing experience on this tour. We can recommend it without hesitation. Rudy, our driver made our trip a most memorable occasion. Sun Sail Catamarans, the company providing the tour went above and beyond to ensure we were able to participate in the trip as the cruise ship we are on was late getting into port and then there were no shuttle buses available to take passengers off the port but they contacted us to say they would send a driver to pick us up and transfer us to the arranged pick up point. Very impressed with this company.

What an amazing day! We loved our tour with Bertie. He was so informative and fun. We would recommend this tour to anyone else who wants to see Sandwich harbour and surrounds.
