Viewing the extensive bird life in the Ramsar Convention Walvisbay Wetlands where up 250000 birds can be seen from time to time, to the many Seals in the seal colony ( 50 000+ SEALS) including huge Bulls and Pups, to the magnificent views Sandwich Harbor, where Sea meets Dunes, and the surrounding Dunes have to offer, together with the adrenaline evoking skillful dune driving by the guide, the pure passion and enthusiasm the guide portrays of this beautiful scenic but harsh area. Knowledgeable and passionate guides make this tour exceptional.

This tour is seldom cancelled due to bad weather, it never rains, but we have strong Sandstorms, should it be cancelled you will be offered another time schedule/date or full refund.

We reserve the right to change the route weather or safety permitting

German speaking guides are very scarce. These will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.

Please note due to the scarcity of German guides we cannot guarantee a German speaking guide, in peak season or when a cruise liner is in the Harbour and 2000guests disembark.

    Awesome experience! You get to go for a ride on the Namib desert dunes on a 4x4. The dunes are also right next to the Atlantic Ocean, making this a unique feature not really seen any where else in the world. You get to also walk on the dunes, as well as walk down one of the dunes to the Atlantic Ocean (you can also get a ride down if you don’t want to walk it). The tour guide, Gerhard, was awesome, providing information/history on the area, and was pretty flexible with our schedule/time at each site. You even get to keep a small sample of the desert sand as a memento. Overall this is a great tour if you want to experience the crossover between desert dunes and Atlantic Ocean

    This is a wonderful day tour. We saw thousands of flamingos and many seals. Driving along the beach and through the dunes was an experience not to forget with stunning views. Johannes, our guide was informative, knowledgeable and a skilled driver and we thoroughly enjoyed our day out with him
