Viewing the extensive bird life in the Ramsar Convention Walvisbay Wetlands where up 250000 birds can be seen from time to time, to the many Seals in the seal colony ( 50 000+ SEALS) including huge Bulls and Pups, to the magnificent views Sandwich Harbor, where Sea meets Dunes, and the surrounding Dunes have to offer, together with the adrenaline evoking skillful dune driving by the guide, the pure passion and enthusiasm the guide portrays of this beautiful scenic but harsh area. Knowledgeable and passionate guides make this tour exceptional. An exceptionally unique experience few get the see creating unforgettably fond memories. ITS A FULL DAY TOUR. minimum 2 pax.

This tour is seldom cancelled due to bad weather, it never rains, but we have strong Sandstorms, should it be cancelled you will be offered another time schedule/date or full refund.

please note all Cruise Liner passengers, your tour pick up time starts an hour after you have docked. The tour will depart latest an hour and a half after the pick up time. Late comers are considered a no show

after picking you up at your hotel we drive to the Flamingos near the Walvisbay Waterfront, from here we pass the Ramsar Wetlands and Lagune, viewing thousands of birds, the pink lakes of the Salt mine on our way to Pelican point where we visit the 70000 strong Seal Colony, from here our journey takes us south to the towering Dunes, where Dunes meet Sea, with breathtaking views and adrenaline evoking dune drive, searching for animal life in this desolate desert area, we discuss history, view this very beautiful but harsh area and then back to your Hotel. Creating unforgettable memories.
Walvis Bay
After picking you up at your hotel we drive to the Flamingos near the Walvisbay Waterfront, from here we pass the Ramsar Wetlands and Lagune, viewing thousands of birds, we will head out after we stopped at the flamingos to the pink salt lakes.

5.00We had a superb tour with Stephan. Seeing the seals was amazing, and he also showed us a host of other animals through the tour. Stephan was also extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of Namibia, it's history, politics, geography and the environment, and he was fantastic company for the day. Thoroughly recommended!

5.00Crystal wax superb for thd boat cruise onbtge morning and Andrew was excellent for the 4x4 d’une tide experience. We felt safe and totally looked after throughout and hospitality was exceptional by both! I highly recommend both experiences with Crystal and Andrew respectively.

5.00Great tour with Riaan, our guide. Beautiful scenery, exciting dune ride, game spotting and very interesting information received about the fauna, flora and history. We had a delicious snack at the most beautiful place, spotting whales. If you go there, go for a full day-tour

5.00We spent an amazing day with Le Clue exploring Sandwich Harbour. We started by learning about Namibia’s salt industry, proceeded to play in the dunes and finished kayaking among the seals. Le Clue was the most knowledgeable and competent guide we have ever had. He had extensive responses to all our questions - whether they were about history, nature, industry or locsl folklore. His stories rounded out a perfect day of adventure. And a shout out for the food, which was amazing. A most enjoyable day with Desert, Dunes and Dust Tours.
Great time in wonderful Namibia.

A Must do Dune trip

5.00We had an unforgettable experience on this excursion. The towering sand dunes were absolutely spectacular, and driving across them in a 4x4 was both thrilling and surprisingly smooth. Our guides expertly navigated higher and higher until we reached the very top, where we enjoyed a wonderful lunch overlooking the stunning views of Sandwich Harbour. The guides were exceptional—attentive, knowledgeable, and committed to making sure every guest felt comfortable and cared for. What I hadn’t fully considered, however, was that every climb comes with a descent. On the way down, we tackled near 90-degree dune drops. It felt intimidating at first, but quickly shifted into an exhilarating rush. Despite the dramatic angles, the excursion is not dangerous; it’s simply an adventure that gets your heart pumping. I wouldn’t pass up this excursion for anything. If I’m ever lucky enough to return, I will absolutely do it again!
