As the first tour provider to lead electric bike tours in Santa Barbara we're confident that our carefully thought out tour will not disappoint. Our team of local tour guides are all passionate about showing travelers what they love about our city.

Our electric bikes are by far the best bikes in town. On top of all that we carry the largest selection of electric bikes in Santa Barbara with multiple brands to demo.

This is the best way to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Santa Barbara. Zip around our local bike paths and promenade on one of our newest ebikes. Prepare to see the waterfront bike path, State Street, and several historical sites and picturesque photo spots.

For your safety helmets are required and provided on this bike tour. Every tour varies slightly based on your ability and what you'd like to see. Our private tour guarantees that you and your party will have a custom and personalized tour.

There is a minimum of 2 passengers required in order to operate this tour. If minimum numbers are not met, you will be offered a refund or an alternative date.

Closed-toe shoes are required

Comfortable clothing such as active wear is recommended

Participants must be in good physical condition and capable of riding a bike

Riders must be a minimum of 12 years of age as required by California Law for Electric Bikes

Had a great experience with Alex. Very friendly and knowledgeable, made the four a lot of fun! Would highly recommend. Two hours is just the right amount of time, you cover a lot of distance during your tour.

Zach was our tour guide today on this 2+ hour electric bike tour of Santa Barbara. My husband and our two 20 something aged kids had the best time! Zach made the tour interesting with lots of quick “off the beaten path” stops and vistas that we would have NEVER found on our own. The bikes felt new and the electric feature made the whole trip effortless. I can’t recommend CalCoat Adventures and especially Zach anymore highly - 5 stars plus!

Zach was a terrific guide. We loved his stories and SB knowledge, the pace was perfect and he kept us safe on the busy city streets. The bikes were in great shape and easy to ride and the route was a great mix of scenery and novelty. I’ve visited SB all my life and enjoyed so many new places on this tour. 100% recommend.

The e-bike tour is a great way to get to know the city and to learn about the areas and places where we’d like to return and spend more time. We really covered a lot of ground. Blaze was a great guide - he’s very knowledgeable about Santa Barbara and threw in lots of fun facts!

Neither myself nor my husband had ever ridden an e-bike. The team at Cal Coast did a great job showing us the different ebikes and letting us test drive a few to figure out which bike to ride. Once on the bikes, Alex was a fantastic tour guide. He took us all over santa barbara and had a deep working knowledge about the architecture and history of SB, as well as calling out the names of flowers, trees and animals we saw along the way. Alex made our trip fun and interesting- def a 5 star activity.

Alex was a great guide and provided a wonderful introduction to Santa Barbara. He was aware when one rider struggled and made sure she was able to figure out her bike. He was well-informed about the city and gave great recommendations for restaurants and other activities.

We really liked Alex, our tour leader. He gave us great insights about the locations he took us to. Santa Barbara is beautiful. There’s no better way to experience the sights. Alex and the Electric bikes made it easy, fun and a great way to spend our day in Santa Barbara.
