5.00Javier was knowledgeable, and very personable. He seemed to enjoy sharing stories about his city. The lunch experience was good, service was great!! Unfortunately my husband’s phone was stolen from his back pocket, 2nd day of our vacation! Note to self, keep your phone in front of your body!!

5.00We took this tour today (Sun 10/11) with Javier. We were collected right on schedule from our hotel and given a quick briefing about what to expect during the day. A short drive took us to the metro station where Javier explained to us about the day to day routine of the Santiago locals. After the metro ride we wandered through the relatively quiet city on this Sunday morning. Javier explained the history of the city and the various architectural styles that feature in the beautiful buildings. Lunch was provided at the central market and was a very enjoyable three course affair with beer/wine/soft drink. After eating we had a quick tour of the market, and then taken to the gondolas that take people up to the top of the city hill, set in a huge parkland and clearly a very popular setting for Sunday family gatherings. Finally, we were returned to our hotel, right on schedule. This tour is an expensive one, but so well done, very comprehensive in terms of the sites covered, the meal provided is of very good quality, the transport is very comfortable and safe, and Javier is an excellent guide.

4.00Our guide, Gisella, was great. Very informative and flexible as to where we wanted to go. Included a nice fish lunch and cable car rides She did however arrive at our hotel 50 minutes late. Not her fault, just bad organisation back at the office. The tour extended later in the afternoon to make up for the lost time

5.00Our guide Giselle was dedicated to showing us life as a local. We had some special places we wanted to find (like the grave of Victor Jara) and she made sure we found it. . . .and it wasn’t easy. She was gracious, informative and funny! A wonderful time.

5.00We made a very long walk, without using the metro on the go to make the most of the tour. We took beautiful photos and asked for information along the way. We were very well served by the Chilean.....All PLAN, easy to find the sights. We returned by metro to our hotel for being late and know the transportation. Perfect!!! It is well worth a walking tour and return using the metro...... Super valid tour!!! I recommend... I've done it twice for two years in a row and look forward to coming back next year........
