  • Amazing tour, but improve the bus

A great tour, just let down by the bus. Sapa is absolutely beautiful and the two hikes you do are phenomenal views of rice fields and mountains. It’s a long journey to get there but worth it. Our guide Mu was lovely and taught us lots about Sapa and rice farming. The overnight homestay is great too, we had the bungalow with en-suite and it was very nice, big bed with mosquito net, fan (no AC), hot shower. We are vegan and they catered to us at the homestay too with tofu dishes and removing egg. The only problem is the bus. We got the 6am there and 3pm back which was not what we expected. It’s not the capsule bus you see on photos, it’s a lot more old fashioned, three rows of exposed bunk beds, no toilet (and with only 2 stops on a 7hr journey!), barely working air con. It was fine and we did sleep on the way but just don’t expect anything great. The drive back was even worse, the driver kept stopping at random car parks and streets to talk to people with no explanation to us. He would just leave the bus with the door open in the dark of night which felt unsafe for us onboard. Because of these strange detours we were over an hour late getting back to Hanoi on an already very long journey. The tour itself is wonderful but the bus/driver needs to improve.

Our tour guide ms. Chang did such an amazing job. From the time she picked us up from the bus station to trekking through the rice fields and the bamboo forest. She gave us ample amount of breaks and explained her way through every check point. This was definitely the highlight of my entire Asia trip. Highly recommended.

All travellers should know that our tour guide Pang was amazing. She was patient, kind, informative and hardly ever broke a sweat on the long trail! I am grateful to her and the people from her village who welcomed me and the group so warmly. Be prepared for some steep hills on the second day- but that adds even more fun. The meals were tasty and the accommodation very comfortable.

  • Beautiful trek with our amazing tour guide Chang!

This 2 day trek was a fun and enlightening experience which myself and my partner enjoyed thoroughly. The views were breathtaking and our guide Chang was friendly, helpful and lovely. The homestay we stayed the night were welcoming and accommodating! We were taught how to make spring rolls and also had happy water shots together. Overall the experience was eye-opening and we learnt heaps about the traditional livelihoods of the different villages.

  • Just do it.
