Sarajevo War Tunnel
This is definitely one of the most popular tours in Sarajevo; Probably because of famous Tunnel of Hope and the fact that this was the longest siege in modern warfare. On the way to our first destination, our guides will give You an introduction, show You Sniper Alley, memorial to brutally murdered children, and other important war related objects. Then we will make a first stop to visit Tunnel of Hope Museum, digged by ingenious and brave citizens of Sarajevo. When we get there, You will see big map of Sarajevo under the siege to see enemy lines, You will watch 17-minutes long movie and take a look inside the Museum exhibition. Highlight of this destination is 25-meters long tunnel You will walk through to experience the struggle of Sarajevans during the siege. After this experience You will have short break, if requested, to make some pictures and to discover the place on Your own.
After the Tunnel, we continue from Federation entity to Rebuplika Srpska to our next stop - Olympic Mountain Trebević where we will enjoy stunning view of the city from 1230m above the sea level. The guests will be shown enemy lines and told the war stories. This is a great location to make some really beautiful photos of the whole city.

5.00From the reservation on, Insider organized our tour in a perfect way. Vedran was an excellent guide, very thorough in his explanations and truly organized in the tour’s timing. His firsthand experience made the descriptions very engaging. He conveyed information about a deeply painful past with great sensitivity, and it is precisely for this reason that what he shared still resonates and slowly rises back to the surface of memory.

1.00The trip was cancelled just a few hours before start. Customers must cancel 24 hours before the trip starting hour to have full refund . Understand & respect … Trip organisers just cancelled the trip a few hours before the trip. Is this professional ? This is disrespectful , lack of trust & organisation for tourists…

5.00This tour was amazing. We have had a number of private and group tours, and this was the best. It is a four-hour tour that includes a visit to the tunnel (including walking 100m in the tunnel), a 400m walk down the bobsled track (covered in grafitti, but unfortunately from our perspective the visible war damage is repaired), the Jewish cemetary, and the bridge where the first two victims in the war on Sarajevo were killed. Our guide, Omo, is from the region and was fantastic. The VW Passat was also comfortable for the ride. Omo usually does day tours to Mostar from Sarajevo and we met another Spirit tour guide, Adnan, who also seemed excellent. If we were staying longer, we would do another Spirit tour. Awesome!

5.00The essential Sarajevo tour - you can't visit this city without someone taking you to these locations and explaining their importance. We were absolutely blessed to have Emina Koso as our driver and guide - her personal recounts of lived experiences during the Bosnian war is unparalleled to what you get being guided by someone who speaks of it third-hand. She was also very helpful in providing additional information about the city. If you only do one thing in Sarajevo during your trip, make it this.

5.00Very nice tour. It was doable with children. The tour guide was able to not leave out anything but still keep it appropriate for the age group. We enjoyed the fact that the guide included their own experiences. We were able to use the tour as a springboard to explore independently later.

5.00A super interesting experience. The story told by a local who was excited to explain everything they went through. We did the tour with a couple and they drove us from one place to another. The tunnel of hope and the bobsleigh circuit we really liked. The best decision to tour the war while in Sarajevo to understand the current situation in this country.

5.00As a child of the 90s I am slightly too young to remember much about the siege of Sarajevo from the media although I'm sure it would all have been watered down anyway! Emina is a fantastic guide and genuinely lovely person too. As a slightly older child of the 90s, she has first hand experience of growing up in Sarajevo and recounted stories from her childhood that would make the toughest man emotional! The tour itself is a great insight into the situation in Sarajevo during the early 90s and the atrocities that the Serbian military committed. Helped by the fact that it was only my wife and I on the tour which gave us the opportunity for as many questions as we could think of, I cannot recommend Emina and this tour highly enough. For anyone who has an interest in history, or just wants to get to know the real Sarajevo and its people this is a must. 100% recommend and will definitely be getting in touch for more tours if and when we get the chance to come back to Sarajevo in the future.
