Rogatica

First stop are medieval Stecci - Tombstones Unesco Necropolis near village of Rogatica.

20 minutes of drive from Rogatica via Stjenice and a short hike through dense forest will take us to our first stop of the day, Borak Stećci necropolis near the Burati village. This hidden gem deep in the misty forests of East Bosnia was recently inscribed as UNESCO World Heritage. We will discover the unique history of the Medieval Bosnian Kingdom and figure out why these blocks of limestone are scattered all around Bosnia and Herzegovina.

We did a total of five different trips with Funky Tours. The company was a delight to work with and every single one of our tour guides was fantastic. We usually like to make our own plans while traveling but this company made it so easy and affordable to visit this magical part of the world.

This was a really enjoyable tour, although it was a long day. There were just two of us on the tour - me plus a really nice guy from the US. Adis picked me up promptly at the appointed time in Belgrade. Our small group of three got on well and we talked and laughed a lot. It was very interesting talking to Adis and hearing him talk about life in Bosnia. We had a couple of breaks which worked well. The tour is the reverse from the Sarajevo to Belgrade tour and so we had quite an early lunch in Serbia to ensure we were on time for the ride on the Šargan 8 rail tour. This was good as you could order quite big meals like pizza but I was able to order a homemade-tasting vegetable soup with bread which suited me fine. For me I guess the highlight was Višegrad as I read the Andrić novel several years ago so it was fantastic to see the bridge. Another great moment was when we entered Sarajevo at the end of a long but very interesting day! Thanks to Adis who kept us safe - and entertained - throughout our journey.

You do many activities during this trip to Belgrade. It was the most amazing trip with a fantastic guide. Boat ride, train ride, hike in the national park, visit a monastery, learn so much history. The scenery is amazing.

Great tour - our driver and guide were both knowledgeable resources for all the questions we had. Visegrad was particularly beautiful, but the other stops, and the whole region with its twisty mountain roads was amazing to drive through.

It was a great tour. I don't remember the name of our driver/guide. She's part spanish I think. She was an excellent guide and an even better driver. This tour is probably the best way to travel from Sarajevo to Belgrade and back, since it covers almost all the important tourist sites along the way. The scenery along the was is breathtaking. Highly recommended!

We booked the tour with a friend. We were picked up at the hotel on time, and came just a driver and Guide Emin, both in a comfortable car, made the excursion alone, despite not having hired privately. I'm grateful they didn't cancel it because it was just us doing the tour. Both the driver and Emin, very nice, Emin told us everything related to the places we visited and more, answered all our questions. we were never rushed to finish the tour before, we stayed everywhere as long as we wanted. It was a full day tour, 12 hours sharing talks, stories and so on. We spent a very enjoyable and fun day with Emin. I would rebook with Funky tours, they have been very responsible since the day I started sending emails to find out about the tours. My inquiries were always answered as soon as possible. We did two full-day tours, and I would do them again. I recommend Funky Tours and Emin, I would book with them again

most importantly the tour guide and the driver were punctual throughout. Other than that, arrangement of the whole tour was good, the driver dropped us off and picked us up at the right places and time, big credit to the back office organizers and the driver. The tour guide was informative and patient enough to handle all of us

Funky Tours not only has an incredible customer service response via email but also with the guides. I was so lucky to have Stefan as my guide during the transfer from Sarajevo to Belgrade. Everything was perfectly organized, and the professionalism truly stood out. Stefan and the driver made the journey seamless and enjoyable. I truly felt like a VIP. Not only made me feel safe and comfortable in the long journey but made it so much fun. Stefan has the perfect stories of history that keep you so interested. I really wished I would had more time to take another trip with them because the transfer was perfectly executed.
