Discover the great sites of the "Golden Triangle" on this unique sightseeing tour with live commentary.

After a private guided tour of Richard the Lionheart's castle at Beynac (replaced by a visit to Castelnaud castle from January to mid February as Beynac castle will be closed), stop at the foot of Castelnaud Castle, an impressive fortress occupied by the English during the Hundred Years' War. Then take a guided tour of La Roque Gageac, one of the most beautiful villages in France, built into the cliffs along the Dordogne river.

Afterward, continue to the hilltop village of Domme for breathtaking panoramic views over the surrounding area. Walk around the village to get a feel for the local atmosphere.

Visit the medieval village of Montfort. Stop at a romanesque church from the 12th century, built on an ancient site of Celtic worship, before returning to Sarlat-la-Canéda.

Punctual, passionate and exciting, David shared with us some of the treasures of this magnificent region: Beynac Castle very impressive, Roque-Gageac on the cliff side, Domme overlooking the Dordogne and the partly Romanesque church of Carsac. His electric VW van is great. Especially pleasant because a mild weather with a large blue sky protected us. To contact again if we return to the area for a more prehistoric trip.

David was an excellent guide, easy to talk to, well informed and interesting. His selection of sites and places to visit in four hours around Sarlat would have taken us a couple of days to accomplish! We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would highly recommend it.

What a perfect afternoon! David provided enough information to be interesting without overloading us with facts. But he also had an answer for every question we had. David picked us up near our Airbnb in medeival Sarlat and took us to several locations. It was great to have someone drive us straight to where it was convenient to be dropped off and he provided just the right amount of information. Highly recommend!

David was an excellent guide and driver, explaining everything in clear English. The tour was private, meaning that we could select from sightseeing options and that there were no other people in our tour. David showed us the prehistoric caves of Cougnac , showed us Beynac Castle, and other sites, and gave detailed remarks about the history,, geology and geography of the Dordogne area. He was professional and polite. We recommend him and this tour very highly.

Lovely half day trip with very knowledgeable and kind David. Very much recommend. Only criticism is that the tour only lasted 3 hours, so for the price we would have loved it to last the full 4. However, we did learn a ton
