This food tour was just divine. Gonna jump into talking about the food first. Starting point is at the check in location at 108 West Broughton Street. After intros, we jump right into flaky homemade biscuits and two types of jam. After the first bite, I knew it was going to be a good day. It was accompanied by a small sample of Savannah sweet tea which was whoa oh so sweet. If you are a sweet tea lover, this is your potion for sure. Onwards to a pub for a sausage croissant roll. I'm not sure how to describe how ridiculously decadent this is. The croissant is warm, buttery, flaky, and the sausage is so flavorful with the hint of a spice that complements oh so well. At some point, I was wondering if I shouldn't eat the entire roll as it is so rich. Nope - this is so good that you need to just eat it all. Just bite into it and let your taste buds do the talking. Next was the creamy and absolutely luxurious she crab soup. I absolutely loved the seasonings in this soup. Here is where I have my first and only complaint. My bowl of soup had absolutely no chunks of crab. Gotta have crab in she crab soup. Nonetheless, entirely delicious, Just when you didn't think it could get any better. Shrimp and Grits. This is now where I am at a loss of words to describe how incredible this dish was. Homemade slow cooked grits of course. It was a small dish and I was truly sad that I didn't have more. The main courses closed out with an absolute BANG! Pork belly slider on homemade bread. Is it super rich and greasy? Yup. Don't even think twice and don't take the slider apart. There is maple syrup to dip in. Dip away and jut eat the slider as it is prepared. I'm drooling right now just writing the review. The combo of bread, greasy pork belly, the sweetness of the maple syrup is just indescribable. Close out is at the starting point place where you taste Savannah Bee Company honey and an apple slice with a topping of honey and cheese. The guide closes out the tour by handing you another buttery dessert wrapped up in plastic to take-away. I am including a picture of this dessert but still wrapped up in plastic. I just ate one of them after I got home and couldn't stop even though a little voice in my head told me to. If I unwrapped the second one for a picture, I'm pretty sure I will eat it all and the other person on the tour with me won't get to try it (maybe I don't care haha)? . Need to give a shout-out to our guide Gail. She was superb. Yah, the food did a whole lotta talking but Gail absolutely completes the experience. She is an ex-chef. As a self-confirmed foodie, I appreciate a guide that has a passion for food. She is knowledgeable, funny, down to earth and so easy to talk to. The tour does include stop overs at some cool places including a hotel lobby that was OMG fabulous. This food tour isn't cheap. Along the way, there are "opportunities" to buy drinks and we couldn't resist getting a couple of bacon old fashioned's. Savannah has an "open container" policy. The food tour, additional couple of drinks and tip ended up costing around $260 for the two of us. Is a worth it? Oh heck ya; worth every dime! I wish I had more time in Savannah. So, I could go back and get much larger portions of everything I had on this tour. I wasn't stuffed when I was done and was comfortably able to handle dinner that evening. We bought a few jars of honey and bottles of sweet tea to take home. Don't hesitate to book this tour. It is truly a great opportunity to try foods that you otherwise may not get a chance to try.

Had briefly visited Savannah before, but this made for a much more satisfying experience. Really good combination of food and area history. All of the food stops had interesting and tasty offerings and they were well paced with the walk around the downtown and harbor areas. The guide was knowledgeable and personable. Our tour group interacted with each other well, too, which also made it an enjoyable experience. Well worth the cost and time spent. Highly recommend!!!!!

The food choices were varied, though on the smaller size, and all were delicious! Favorites were the She-crab soup and the shrimp and grits. Cindy was knowledgeable, personable, and engaging. Overall good experience.

Delicious food samples! Beautiful restaurants, hotels, and bars to visit as we sampled! I saw and tried things I probably never would have without this tour. The guide was delightful! But one suggestion- guides should fact check historical info they discuss. I was a Georgia History teacher. Oglethorpe told King George that Georgia would be created as a debtor's colony but it actually was not. :)

We had the best guide. He was passionate and very knowledgable and shared a lot about food and history! We were so full from all of our stops that we skipped dinner.

The food was just okay but the guide only talked when we stopped somewhere, didn’t interact with the group and rushed us along at every stop.
