After meeting your guide at Savannah’s Visitor Center, hop into the trolley to begin your tour through the city. As the wind blows through your hair, admire the lush foliage and Victorian mansions as you cruise around town.

Following your trolley tour of historic Savannah, embark on a sightseeing cruise down the Savannah River. During the cruise, experience the river that was – and remains – the lifeblood of Savannah.

Please note: There is a short time gap between the trolley tour and River Boat cruise. For the cruise, you must check-in at the River Boat office at 9 E River St before boarding the boat.

Savannah MLK Visitor Information Center

Here at 301 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, the trolley tour begins. This portion of the tour is about 90 minutes. At the end of this tour, you will be dropped off on River Street. Here you must then check in to the Riverboat office at 9 E. River Street at least 30 minutes prior to departure. Please note: depending on what time you begin the trolley tour, there will be a time gap between the trolley tour and Riverboat cruise.

The land and sea tour was just what we needed. The guides are knowledgeable and fun. We could just relax. Since we only had one full day in Savannah, we were able to seethe many highlights of this beautiful and historic city. Begining with the trolly tour of the homes and squares then, onto the ship. The ship tour highlights the battles fought with insightful perspectives from our guide.

The tour provided pick up from a location near my hotel. The tour bus itself was not as put together as the advertisement, and could use an upgrade. The land tour was excellent, and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. There is a lot of history in the Savannah area, and I was enlightened, and intrigued by the information she provided. Kelly tours provided pick up after the river boat tour, as well as hop on/hop off services. To access the river boat, regardless of prior online purchase, you have to go to a ticket booth, which is located directly across from the river boat. Kelly Tours lets you off close to the booth. The river boat itself looks great on the outside, but inside is very dated, and not in a nice way. It was rainy and breezy for a portion of the ride, and most of the time was spent indoors. The captain provided a narrative history of the sites we passed, but It was very difficult to hear over the announcement system. They offer limited food and drink, including alcoholic beverages. You take a photo prior to entry on the ship, and cost to purchase is $38.

The trolly tour was great. Our tour guide, Chris, made it really fun. The boat part was ok. If you get a seat by a window I guess it would be better.

We enjoyed both the trolley ride and the boat. Informative and entertaining tours. Kudos to Chris (on land) for being extremely knowledgeable and I loved how he spoke of Savannah with so much love!

I wish I could separate the rating into the two components because our opinion of the two were vastly different. The trolly tour was EXCELLENT (5 stars)! Really interesting, beautiful, and overall enjoyable. I highly recommend this narrated trolly tour. However, I do not think the riverboat tour was worth our time and money. Our 1 PM riverboat tour was loading right after our 11 PM trolly tour, so we needed to eat lunch on the boat. Despite getting on line for the boat around 12:20 and getting on line for the food as soon as we boarded, we were told the top deck was standing room only so we got an indoor table next to a foggy window while my husband waited on the food line until 1:45. Our view was blocked by people standing outside a good deal of the time. We ate at the indoor table before being able to go outside. We only had about 20 minutes outside because of how long it took to get food. But with the boat ride ending at 2:30 and our kids being hungry we needed to do that. Not sure we missed a heck of a lot. It was kind of interesting but not that scenic. It seemed like a lot of cargo ships and learning about that. While I generally would recommend not going during lunchtime, one benefit of that time is that a historic fort fires a cannon ball as the ship passes at that specific time every day.

Savannah is really gorgeous and charming. Our tour showed us some of the sights in the town (from the trolley) and also near the river (on the boat). It was both a great tour on its own but also a good introduction to the city so we could learn what individual sights we might want to see later. On the trolley, John was particularly knowledgeable and entertaining. This was a really good family activity but would be good for just about anyone that is at all interested in the history of an attractive place.

Bus tour was great, enjoyable to be on water but packed and kids everywhere. There also is not a lot to see. Was nice and had bar and concessions. But overall not impressed.
