  Shay and Ksena run a superb, well organised professional outfit and their attention to detail is commendable. A full safety briefing and familiarisation with bikes precedes the experience, and we’re all provided with helmets, radios and a backpack with a drink and snack. Our guides, the lovely Alexa and the Rockin’ Jordan enhanced the ride, giving us guidance and some great local history about their beautiful backyard. I was literally flying out of the country straight after this trip and they could not have been more helpful. I highly recommend this fabulous company!

  This is the best tour I have ever taken. It was a 3 hour tour. There were 6 family members ranging from 16 to 71 years of age and Shay our guide was fantastic. On the day we arrived it was raining, and he was happy to wait an hour until it eased. We were given protein bars and drinks. The helmets and gloves were spotless and cleaned after every use. I was hesitant with the big hills, but with Shay's encouragement I managed to do them. The scenery was fantastic. My husband and I have done multiple bike tours around the world and this was by far the best, absolutely incredible. Thank you for making our holiday in Queenstown New Zealand so memorable and given us wonderful memories. Lisa

  My travel companion booked the Ride to the Sky Cycle tour rather spontaneously while we were still sitting on the tarmac before our flight departed, so there wasn’t much research done beforehand. After completing the disclaimer, I received a phone call from Shay, who thoughtfully suggested that the Ride to the Lake might be more suitable for our experience level. We really appreciated this and happily agreed. The tour ended up being a small group of just four, led by Ksena, who was excellent. She took the time to clearly explain the e-bike equipment, how to mount and dismount safely, how and when to use gears, and how to adjust the power settings. She set a comfortable pace, gave clear safety instructions for trickier sections, and shared lots of local knowledge along the way. The photos and videos she took were a lovely bonus. As visitors, we would never have found this route on our own — it was ideal, scenic, and perfectly matched to our abilities. Ksena’s guidance and instruction made the experience both enjoyable and confidence-building. Highly recommend doing a guided e-bike tour — it made all the difference.

  Perfect e-bike ride for an intermediate biker. The e-bike’s were top notch, the route was terrific and Tom the guide was great. And of course the scenery was spectacular… like just about everywhere you go in New Zealand!

  Amazing tour with interesting commentary, beautiful views, thrilling downhills, and great camera work from our tour guide. And it was athletically engaging (unlike most tours in Queenstown!). Way better than most tourist activities in the area

  Ride to the Sky is a small family business that clearly goes the extra mile to provide a great experience for their guests. Ksena and Shay consciously fit us with just the right bikes and had us do a practice run on a paved lot before they drove us to the trail. Shay then guided us on an e-bike tour of exquisite countryside!! I mean exquisite! He was fun, informative, attentive to our abilities, all while capturing us in action with his camera.

  Fantastic trip. The bikes were excellent, our guide, Shay, was considerate of each persons experience and confidence and always so encouraging, The route was varied and interesting, views wonderful. All in all a great trip, thank you.
