Heritage & Film History: Discover Kazimierz, the former ghetto and Plaszow on our Schindler's List Tour with a Dutch guide. Krakow, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1978, is rich in history from Nazi occupation to Soviet control. Explore the most important locations and film sets of Schindler's List with us. We visit Plaszow concentration camp, including the memorial, film props and the commandant's villa. Our guide will share behind-the-scenes film insights. Afterwards, we will walk to Schindler's Factory and see part of the original ghetto wall. Crossing Plac Bohutera, the old ghetto entrance, we will explore the Jewish district of Kazimierz, where much of the film was shot. After about 4 hours, we say goodbye in Kazimierz. Visit the Remuh Synagogue or Schindler's Factory on your own or join DutchPoint Kraków for a drink!

We were brought to the scene by bus. Wesley then took us on foot through the domain where the film Schindler’s ruse was filmed. That was also great well explained and a nice change, lots of nature. Wesley explained the domain very well and said that what was shown in the film was not all correct. He showed us what it had been like in reality. Gruesome yes, but very interesting. We are going to watch the film again but with different eyes. Great!

A bit of a forgotten part of Krakow. Super impressive to visit Plaszow, a bit of a forgotten part of history. Previously been to Krakow and visited Schindlers museum (you can skip it as far as I'm concerned), this tour is really unique! We were lucky for a private tour due to cancellation and therefore the chance of a size tour and were all particularly impressed.

The guide knew a lot about the history of Plaszow camp, the Jews and the Krakow ghetto and how Schindler was intertwined in it. Very instructive in terms of history. Very nice to see different film locations, some locations were instantly recognizable, at others it was nice that the scene was told / described.

I was also on that excursion and disagree with Mrs. Judith Koning. Thought it was a great tour with a great guide and the next day at Auschwitz was super. It was also a maximum of 20 people, I have not heard anyone complain about that. Sourpusses are always there and should stay home!

By tram you drive to the end of the excursion. During an 8 km walk you get a very expert explanation by Guide Wesley. There's time for a break. You pass the "most important" buildings and locations. Highly recommended to start your holiday in Krakow with. That way you already have plenty of landmarks in the city for your own exploration.
