  I completed my OWD, AOWD, and Nitrox certifications with Barbarian Diving Tenerife and genuinely can’t recommend them enough. Sergio and Kathleen are super friendly, knowledgeable, and make you feel comfortable from the very start. The dive centre is perfectly located in the centre of Los Cristianos, with many different dive sites either nearby or just a short drive away. All the equipment is in pristine condition, and there is a strong focus on safety, comfort, and an overall great diving experience.   There are experiences that are not forgotten... and then there are those that touch your soul 💙 What we experienced with Barbarian Diving was much more than diving. It was feeling cared for, accompanied and calm at all times. From the beginning we knew we were in the best hands, but what we didn’t imagine was how special it was going to be. Catherine and Sky... I don't have enough words. Thank you for your sweetness, for your infinite patience, for looking at us with that tranquility that makes you release all fears. You made us feel safe, but above all, you made us feel important. And Sergio... thanks for that first conversation that changed everything. Without knowing us, you already conveyed confidence, closeness and professionalism. It was the first step of something really precious. We take a lot more than just an activity, we take emotions, memories and a hard-to-explain feeling... of those that stay with you forever. • Amazing SCUBA Dive Experience!

  This was the best way I could have started into the diving hobby. My friend asked me, if I wanted to do a Try-Dive during our vacation. I ended up doing the scuba dive certificate with Kathi in two dives, with plans to expand that to the open water diver certification. I am hooked! I had no prior experience with SCUBA diving and a healthy amount of nervousness going into the course. Sergio and especially Kathi were amazing and helped me get so confident with the technical side and safety of diving. Getting to know the equipment, the procedures during decent and ascension, effects of pressure, buoyancy and dive-timing. I felt thoroughly informed and 100% safe during the dives. Thanks to the great one-on-one training, I did not feel clueless underwater and it really got intuitive fast. The dives themselves were such a dreamy experience. Kathi and Jakub (training dive master) took me to a depth of 10 meters and showed me the marine life of Tenerife. Many different kind of fish, an octopus, squids, crabs and so much more. They were always next to me, showing me special animals, checking on my well-being and doing safety exercises with me. Both dives were about 50 min long, with a break in between to change equipment, ask questions, eat some snacks and get some tips. My friend was doing a deeper dive to 30 m from a boat and saw different rays and swarms of barracuda. It was magical! After the dive they helped me set up my SSI account, we talked again over the theory and I got extensive training material to do the certification theory in my own time. Kathi and Sergio at Barbarian Diving made this vacation into something really special for me. They are so easy going and professional. You really can feel they want to give you the best experience possible, as they are passionate about diving and the ocean! A clear recommendation from me, I could not have asked for a better experience!

  Our first dive after three years without diving and we could not find a better dive center!! I'm sure we'll be back in Barbarian. A hug Sergio!!!

  Second time in Tenerife and second time spending all possible diving days with Barbarian Diving! Had amazing dives with both Kathy and Sergio. We are unexperienced divers, logged 28 dives now and 20 of them with Barbarian Diving, and we learned a lot of them! After diving with Barbarian Diving we became a lot more confident and had a lot of fun! They know where it's the highest possible change of spotting sea life such as angel sharks, sea turtles, rays and big schools of fish. Went boat diving, night diving and did a lot of shore dives.   Katie and Sergio provide a personalised scuba diving experience that’s second to no other. This is the second time I dive with them but the first time with their brilliant Barbarian dive company. I keep coming back as they are highly skilled, professional and really make you feel safe and at ease. i’ve really enjoyed my time and promise to keep coming back for more :-)

  After my experience at Barbarian Diving, I can't help but write a rave review. From start to finish the service was excellent. The material? Brand new. No worn out gear or questionable equipment - everything in top condition. What really sets Barbarian Diving apart is that they deliberately work with small groups. No mass diving where you are treated as a number, but personal attention from the instructor. You have space, you feel safe, and you actually learn something. I must admit: my planning was quite chaotic. Rescheduling appointments, last-minute changes... they could have easily fobbed me off. Instead, they went to all the trouble in the world to help me and keep everything running smoothly. Now that's customer focus. The prices are also very reasonable for what you get. And as the icing on the cake, they film your dive underwater - beautiful images that you get home as a keepsake. Professional, flexible, and passionate about the sport. Barbarian Diving deserves every star.

  I had an outstanding experience with Barbarian Diving and I want to give a special shoutout to Kathi and Antonio, who made my Open Water Diver course unforgettable from the very first moment. My trip to Tenerife was a spontaneous decision and Antonio supported me right away by helping me choose the right course and connecting me with the dive school and with Kathi. From day one, both of them made me feel welcome, safe and excited to start this adventure. The course started on Thursday with theory and basic safety exercises in the water. Even during these first steps I felt completely safe thanks to their calm and clear way of teaching. On Friday we did two dives to twelve meters and on Saturday we reached eighteen meters. Their guidance was excellent and the atmosphere underwater was relaxed and full of joy. They were always focused on safety without ever taking away the fun. On Sunday we added two fun dives down to thirty meters. I even received my certification for this depth on the same day. We explored several spots around the island, including Tabaybar and Abades, and I saw more sea life than I had ever imagined. From sharks to a friendly octopus that gave me a literal handshake, it was a dream. Kathi teaches in German which helped me understand every detail perfectly. Antonio explained everything in excellent English and shared so much knowledge about the ocean, the equipment and the dive sites that I learned far more than I expected from a beginner course. Both of them are passionate professionals who care deeply about safety and about giving every student a great experience. I always felt supported, seen and guided in the best possible way. If you are thinking about doing your first dive or continuing your diving education, book with Barbarian Diving and ask for Kathi and Antonio. I can recommend them with full confidence.   Super friendly and knowledgeable staff, the safety briefing was well delivered in English and easy to understand. My partner hadn't dived before and was very nervous but Katy and Sergio were great and made the whole experience really relaxed and enjoyable, especially Considering the tricky conditions on the day, Sergio still made sure we saw as much as possible with limited visibility, would highly recommend for any first time divers that are nervous about diving, I'll be returning at a later date to do my open water with Barbarian.
