  We had a great couple of hours on the water with Olivia and Alejandro as our guides. My husband and I were in a two person kayak which worked out well. The back person steered with the foot pedals controlling a rudder at the back. We were in a group of 4- two person kayaks. With an odd number of guests, one guide shared a two person kayak and the other had her own single kayak. We paddled through the canal and out into the area of the nearest barrier islands. The group gathered several times for the guides to tell us history of the city of Ålesund, information about the fishing industry, history of the archipelago with Viking history and information about travel and commerce throughout time. Olivia’s family is from near the area, and she was able to add personal details of how the city has changed. We also saw many sea birds and a seal swimming in the water. They did a great job of keeping the group together with adequate breaks for information. I would definitely take this again.

  Fun way to see Alesund from the sea. All equipment was provided (life jackets, waterproof tops, spray skirts). Kayaks were very comfortable. Easy experience even for a beginner kayaker, a more experienced person might want a bit more. The guide was helpful and thorough.

  Great way to see the city and get a little exercise! Our guides Aila and Stefan were great! We would use them again. We had a great day. Lots of fun.

  I had a fantastic time kayaking out from the centre of Ålesund into the ocean and along the coast. The guide, Mads, was lovely and very helpful. Also, really knowledgeable about the sport. As a total beginner, it was great to be taken through the basics so well. There were eight in our group and one kayak had some difficulties but Mads was sympathetic and helpful. Weather was fantastic too, which made a massive difference. Well worth the money and I would happily go again.

  Visited Alesund during a cruise and took a sea kayaking trip with Uteguiden. It was our first time kayaking at sea but the guides, Laura, Ben and Philip were excellent. Everything was well explained and in perfect English. They were very knowledgeable about the history of Alesund and the area. A excellent trip and amazing experience kayaking around the Queen Anne cruise ship

  It was a Beautiful day, guides were knowledgeable and attentive. We would do this excursion again. Price was reasonable.

  The tour was great! We have never kayaked before and felt absolutely picked up by Laura and Philip! The tour was conducted in English, had a perfect length and especially the last third was super nice in the middle of the city right past the typical Art Nouveau villas. The crowning result was that we also paddled right up to our Mein Schiff 2 in the harbour (with it we were also here in Ålesund).   What a wonderful experience! The guides Linda and Daniel were warm and welcoming. Very committed to safety. Knowledgeable about the city and its history. Easy walk from the cruise port. Highly recommend. So much less expensive too than a similar experience offered by the cruise ship

  We enjoyed the kayak tour around Alesund as a family of 5 (2 adult children and a 15 year old). The trip wasn’t too difficult and the guides Linda and Evgeny explained everything well and were knowledgable and supportive. It was good to see some of the surrounding islands on a beautiful sunny day.
