This is a 6 hour seakayak and hike trip starting at our activity centre in Ålesund. We start with kayaking through Brosundet before crossing Aspevågen south of Ålesund city. Rounding Slinnings point, home of the famous Slinnings bonfire, and put the kayaks to shore at Hessa where we start our hike towards Mt. Sukkertoppen. We meet up at our activity centre on Brunholmen in Ålesund city were we have a perfect starting point for kayak trips. Here you will get kitted out with all the mandatory equipment and get a safety breefing before we leave. Husband and I did the kayak / hike tour- and it was just fantastic! Our guide Matt was very patient to ensure an inexperienced kayak person like myself was completely comfortable thru the entire tour. When we left, it was beginning to rain and little windy but never had any safety concerns. The hike was just the right amount of time / distance and WOW! Beautiful views of the town and other islands. The sun did come out and we were able to see far into the mountain areas. Overall this exceeded my expectations; very fun way to get a little exercise and see Alesund! Thank you Uteguiden Adventure and Matt!

Very well organized. It was a beautiful day in Alesund and the kayak and hike was great! The view from the top of the hike was just amazing.

Tiina and Antonin were our very competent and personable guides for our group of 4 adults. I would highly recommend this tour. Tiina was an excellent instructor on paddling technique with years of sea kayak instruction. Antonin was very easy and capable on the water or the hike. The hike up through a neighborhood and onto a well traveled peak with stupendous views gave us a glimpse of everyday life in Norway. They made our trip to Ålesund a highlight of our Norwegian visit.

Wonderful tour and company! We had unfortunate weather, but they modified our trip to ebikes since we couldn't kayak. We loved it. William was a great guide, super friendly and helpful.

Great trip with a guide who was very friendly and helped us with everything. Strongly recommend!! Just amazing. The view from Sukkertoppen combined with the view we had from the sea was incredible!

We booked the Kayak & Hike in Alesund. It was stated to be: Easy – This tour is doable for everyone. This tour is NOT doable for everyone. The kayaking is easy enough, except when you get out in very slippery and rocky terrain. This is a steep hike that is very rocky and where it is not rocky, it is well exposed roots. Amazing view when you get to the top, but I feel like no one should be misled. Maybe this is an easy hike for a Norwegian :) Our guide - again - just ok. I couldn't tell you her name because she never introduced herself to the group. Also - the guide doesn't give any information about where we are or what we are looking at. She gave very good instructions for the kayaking. It is obvious that she is a good hiker as well. Just not very personable. Would we do it again? Probably not. Would we use this company to rent e-bikes? Absolutely! It is a nice shop that is easy to find.

The tour was phenomenal, perfect for a day in Alesund and not too difficult. Don’t get me wrong, the hike gets you sweating but the views are worth it! The kayak is nice and relaxing around the fjord to where you start the hike. Our tour guide CARELIA was a bunch of fun and had many facts and stories about the surrounding areas and other things to do in Alesund. Thanks for the day, we loved it!
