  What a fun hike with an incredible guide! We had such a great experience. Honestly, I would do the hike a bunch of times over instead of going to do one of the tours. We saw so much more.

  Nikolas made the hike super enjoyable and interesting. He adapted at all times to our walking pace. He's an excellent guide. The route was great, we discovered the forests surrounding Meteoras, its caves and views with very few people.

  Absolutely superb evening, enough of a hike to feel you have done something but not over the top! Stunning views, expertly guided. Felt like an evening walk with a knowledgeable friend. I would highly recommend. Amazing to see the hermit caves and to get a feel for the place before we explored inside the monasteries the following day. Watching the sunset on a rock was simply stunning and the guide adapted plans to avoid large groups of other people so we had an amazing time. Do it!!

  My husband and I did the sunset caves hike late June. It was an incredible experience for both of us, and ended up being one of our favourite experiences during our time in Greece. Due to time constraints, we did the hike the day we arrived in Meteora (barely a day after we had arrived in Greece). I was a little bit worried that the hike would be too strenuous after almost 2 days of travel, and voiced my concern to Nicholas, our tour guide. Immediately, he assured me that it is okay to go slow and that health & safety was the utmost priority. Nicholas had an abundance of knowledge and answered all kinds of questions we had about the area, monastic life, and even flora & fauna. We felt like we could ask him anything. We saw the exterior of the hermit caves, the town, the monk prison, and the monasteries from interesting vantage points below. Before booking this tour, I read a comment that we wouldn’t be entering the hermit caves but passing by the outside. Nicholas did a great job demonstrating why this was as the sandstone was quite fragile (and the hermit caves seemed inaccessible). The hike was often times uphill. Because we were hiking through the forest, it provided a decent amount of shade. However, we’d definitely recommend bringing adequate water and sun protection. (Please note that my husband and I are mid-level active. The hike was not overly challenging but there was some level of exertion required.) Thank you to Nicholas and the Meteora Trip team for such an awesome experience!

  A must to do to get a good understanding about Meteora and its culture. We highlight the visit to the caves. One of our family members had an unfortunate incident and the help received was just as needed. We really recommend to book this activity if you are in Meteora

  Harry was a great guide! He was well informed and kept us at pace. This is beautiful hike, but with a lot of inclines and descents. Wear good shoes for hiking and take your water:)

  We had a great hike and learned tons from Katerina. She knew so much history and was patient with this 65 year old who isn’t as steady on her feet as she once was. And oh the most beautiful sunset. Do this tour, you won’t be sorry

  Katerina was WONDERFUL! She is extremely knowledgeable and made the hike so fun. We ended up being the only two on the tour for that evening and she made sure that we had a great experience. The end of the hike led us to a breathtaking sunset view; certainly one we won’t forget! There were parts that were somewhat steep (such as getting to the cave) but even with standard running sneakers we felt comfortable the entire time We would highly recommend this tour!

  Unique landscape with monasteries high on the mountains. George was a good driver and guide Nicolas was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Highly recommended and especially with the local Meteora Tours booking!
