More like a long boulevard of 750 m than a square, this place was once just a horse market (about 650 years ago). Connecting Old Town with New Town, the square witnessed various events in Czech history, such as celebrations of national sporting achievements, the invasion of the Soviet tanks in 1968, or masses of protesters in 1989. Nowadays, it’s the entertainment and nightlife centre of Prague, with plenty of options for shopping, restaurants, dance clubs, bars, and cinemas. If you climb the steps to the National Museum, you can admire the wonderful view down the square. Near the statue of the patron saint of the Czech Republic, St. Wenceslas, there are two commemorative plaques on the ground, for victims of the communist regime. One is dedicated to Jan Palach, who set himself on fire in protest at the Soviet invasion. Once there, you will get indications on how to continue your game, while also learning about the place you've discovered.
Church of Our Lady of the Snows
King Charles IV wished for a Carmelite monastery with a coronation church. As such, he planned to build a Gothic three-aisle church which would be second in size and height only to the cathedral at Prague Castle. Unfortunately, the Hussite Wars interrupted those plans. Although it’s incomplete, the Church of Our Lady of the Snows has a vault of 34 meters, which is the highest in Prague. In the early 17th century, Franciscan monks took over the abandoned church from Emperor Rudolph II and built the surrounding monastery and library in Baroque style. Right next to the complex, you may enjoy a walk through the Franciscan Gardens, which provide a fabulous view of the church’s Gothic vaulting. You will get to this place by following a clue and solving a puzzle. Once there, you will get indications on how to continue your game, while also learning about the place you've discovered.

Very good way to see a ton of Prague. The story and the historical facts built into the game were great. It’s also very nice that we could stop along the game to shop, have a drink, etc. I would recommend.

This tour was interesting. It guided you along to see about 14 of the major sites in Prague. I liked it because it was a good way to traverse the city on foot. The actual story was "eh," but it got you from point A to point B well. My adult (19 and 22 year old) daughters took the lead with the clues and answering the questions, but they more or less sped through the game to get to the next destination. For the price, it was an excellent tour of the city. We felt like we accomplished a lot - and put in about 9,000 steps. It is good to do once and I think I saw most of the top spots in Prague on a Saturday morning.

Sweet and fun - also a good walk through areas in the center that I would not normally notice. There are some hidden gems along the way right next to Wenceslas that I never would have noticed.

I loved it - even though I live in Prague, but still learned a lot! It was a lovely walk and I’m sure both those new to Prague, and those who know Prague well will enjoy and learn at lot (and it definitely made me look at buildings differently)

As the creator of the quest, I can say that it is my favourite quirky way to show guests around my adopted city. We moved here because of the gothic architecture, beauty, and approachability of the city, and as a history and literature teacher my knowledge grew into a deeper understanding of the foundational mysteries of Prague. The quest is based on research discoveries that I personally found fascinating- some of which came from the book Prague in Black and Gold, which I recommend for a really lovely understanding of the foundations of the city. I truly hope you enjoy the game and, once you get to the castle grounds, enjoy a well deserved meal overlooking the gothic spires.

The game is very intriguing, the story is educating and helps explore the amazing city and actually learn a lot about it. Some of the puzzles were really hard to get, especially the ones with useless numbers. Also the part of the house of onions, it is really not obvious that onions are involved in any way. One last thing is the repeating letters puzzle, I believe something is wrong with it. But other than that it is an amazing experience, and I would definitely play it again.

It was great. The game lead us through very interesting, sometimes even ghosty places and secret passages of Old Town. The plot was interesting and very informative. Would recommend!
