Ponta Preta Beach
Ponta Preta ("Black point" in english) gets its name from the color of the many black volcanic rocks and is the most beautiful and favorite beach of the surfers and windsurfers who enjoy the amazing high waves during the winter. Based on the season the appearance of this beach changes completely: during the winter, the high and long waves coming over the beach, take the black sand from the sea bottom, while during the summer the ocean is calm and the beach is almost completely gold.

5.00We booked a midweek, morning trip. Picked up promptly at our hotel and taken to the office in Santa Maria. We were introduced to Sara who went through the usual processes of explaining the Segways (we’ve done it before), and when she was happy, we set off. Just the two of us and her! The first part took us on some roads and pavements (sidewalks), which involved weaving in and around pedestrians and cyclists, which was slightly scary. Pretty soon, we turned onto some open land and set off cross country. The terrain was as you’d expect - uneven and rocky, so plenty of opportunity to steer the Segways. After a while we arrived at the beach (don’t remember the name) and we rode across that for a while, which was pretty cool travelling on the sand and over some small dunes. Once we came off the beach, it was a short ride back to the office by some back roads. The ride lasted just over the advertised 45 minutes and we were taken back to our hotel directly. This was a great experience. Sara is lovely and friendly but professional and the overall trip was as good as you could ask for. We booked via TUI and it was placed well down in their list of activities. I think they need to feature this more prominently as this is a great way to experience Segways and it’s good value for money.

5.00We can only recommend this activity to everyone. Our guide Emmanuel Jesus was really excellent and very trusting. At the beginning he gave us an introduction to using the Segways and has already placed a lot of trust in us here. He showed us wonderful places, we were completely satisfied.

5.00I tried Segway for the very first time and it wasxa great choice. The instructor was careful all the way and helped us, beginners, a lot. It was a great time, outside Santa Maria and it was money well spent for a short morning experience. We had a small stop at a nice beach and went through Vila Verde Residential area. I would do this again, if I get the chance.

4.00The welcome and service were top! The attraction itself was very fun and the guide super friendly and very involved. Congratulations to him! Just a little criticism, having unbridled Segway would have been even more interesting. We had already done some and so an adaptation of your procedure would no longer be a good idea... I recommend this attraction

5.00We really enjoyed our tour yesterday with No Limits Adventure. Vanessa was a great guide who was very patient and caring especially over some of the more challenging terrain. I can certainly recommend this tour.

5.00We had a very friendly tour guide who gave us a quick tutorial before we went on the road....surprisingly my 8 year old was the most confident out of the three of us! We had a fantastic time navigating the terrain and stopped at the beach for a break to buy some souvenirs before heading back. I actually looked to see if we could have another go before we headed home but unfortunately they were fully booked!

5.00First time riding a Segway was really fun. Nice tour and our guide was fully nice and told a lot. Briefing was great, really fun!
