  It was better than I thought. We had bad weather the day booked and the company suggested we change our dates, luckily we were coming back to Bora Bora and was able to pick a better weather day. This would not be fun in poor weather conditions. They picked us up at the port from our cruise boat. Checked us in, went over the rules, and suggested route for 1/2 day. Which was coral garden, eagle rays, and they suggested a beach but we stopped a 2nd time at the coral garden. The basic boat is under powered so you can't go very far, and if there's strong wind you'll be in trouble. They will give you a tracker and cell phone incase of trouble. The only complaint about the boat is the small ladder which will be a problem for many people. The lady at the desk said our time started when we leave the beach but the guys giving us the boat gave us an earlier time so we ended up coming back early but then waited a while for other people also taking the shuttle. FYI. If you have a boater's license you can upgrade the engine size.

  My wife and I rented the boat for 2 separate full days while in Bora Bora. We enjoyed the freedom of checking things out at our own pace. They provided a cooler and swung by the local market before checking in, so we grabbed sandwiches, drinks, and snacks. We brought our snorkel gear and floaty’s to relax on as we anchored. The only difficult part is you have to be able to climb in and out of the small boat and ladder. If you’re agile and enjoy adventuring on your own. I’d recommend renting these for a full day.

  Driver picked us up close to our Airbnb and told about the island interesting facts. They told us where to find eagle rays , coral garden and how to navigate. Nice company and friendly staff. I will go again with them.

  This was unique and fun! We took a picnic lunch and found our own little private beach to picnic on. Great way to experience the island and see some of the most popular beaches and snorkel locations. My piece of advice would be to get your boater’s license beforehand otherwise you get stuck with a 6hp motor which goes maybe 5mph tops so you don’t get to explore as much as you’d like in the time allowed.

  We had a wonderful time! Really enjoyed the freedom to go where we wanted and do whatever we wanted on our timeline. Boats are not easy to climb into so you need to be strong enough to haul yourself up. Unique experience and highly recommended!!

  It was one of the best experiences in our life. The staff was incredible nice and helpfull. They explained everything, to make the trip safe. We had a beautiful wether, so the water had amazing colors. We also saw stringrays.

  Good fun driving the boat, can visit some good locations with flexible schedule that you are the only one there, totally worth the time and money.

  Very unhappy with this company. For one thing, the photo of the boat they show you is not representative of the kind of boat you will get. The tiny dory boat they rent you has no steering wheel and is much smaller. You have to steer with the outboard motor on the back, and it's VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. Also, this boat is not for someone older. It's extremely DIFFICULT to get back into the boat from its tiny back ladder. It only has room for you to put one foot on it at a time, and you had better be young, strong, and athletic to be able to pull yourself back into the boat from the ladder. My husband really HURT HIMSELF on that awful tiny boat ladder to get back in. The directions they give you as to where you could anchor with the boat are vague. They show you a map, but when you look at it for real and try to figure it out, it's very difficult. If they showed you an actual photo of the beach it would be better. Also, if you're staying at the Westin as we were, you can't coordinate with the time you have to have the boat back for a half day rental and the water taxi for the Westin to return you to the hotel. THEY DON'T INFORM YOU OF THIS AHEAD OF TIME. Only way to keep it out for four hours is if you pay for $100 private water taxi ride back to the resort. The Westin told us they no longer work with La Plage, and I can see why. They told us at the concierge that Westin could have provided us with a guided boat tour around the little atolls for a fee, and we could have had a much better time this way. We only had the La Plage boat for about an hour and took it back.

  What a grand way to experience the beautiful coast and waters of the island. We were our own tour guides. With a bit of instruction, as we had no prior experience with out board motoring, we were off. We were able to find a recommended cove, get out and swim and stroll on the beach. We found sting rays and motored along with them. We felt so alive and integrated into the environment. It was the highlight of our stay in French Polynesia.

  We had the most fantastic day getting the boat for just the two of us. We were able to go wherever we want, drop the anchor and snorkel, staying away from the crowds and being able to explore the island. The staff was wonderful at the office, we were picked up at the port exactly on time, and the gentleman who helped us into the boat, I forgot his name, was so informative and friendly. It’s a must do experience.
