5.00The tour of Lake Ohrid was one of the highlights of our trip. The lake area was stunning, with so much natural beauty and fascinating history. What made our tour extra-special was our guide, Ilir. We cannot say enough about his encyclopedic knowledge, infectious love of history, and all-around kindness. We took this tour at the end of our stay in Albania, and by that time we were starting to tire, but we are SO GLAD we went - we made memories that we will treasure always.

5.00Altin was absolutely awesome. He was a wealth of knowledge and very professional. He was very thorough in explaining the Albanian and Macedonian history to us. We enjoyed our time both in Struga and Lake Ohrid.

5.00Our “small group” turned out to be a private tour!! Worth the drive. The lake, the fort, the old town, the bazaar, all top notch. St John’s is beautiful but sadly was closed due to the caretaker having some sort of emergency. Many many churches. Do not miss St. Sofia church and its frescos. Amazing driver/guide Marco. Enjoyed typical Macedonian food with him. Highly skilled driver and he even gave us good recommendations for dinner back in Tirana

5.00Highly recommend this tour. Our guide, Ari was just great! Patient, flexible, smart. Lots of interesting info, great sites, altogether a great day. NOTE: be careful who you sign up with. I booked this trip with a different company and they cancelled at 11:30pm the night before. I contacted this group, who I also did a good food tour with, and they scrambled to make sure I could join one of their tours at the very last minute. I was sooo impressed with their coordination, communication, and customer service!!!

5.00Eraldo was our guide, he was fabulous. Incredibly friendly and a great laugh and a good conversationist. He was so amenable to anything we asked. His knowledge base was great. Comfortable car, stopped for a break if we needed. Northern Macedonia is beautiful. The towns, scenery, food was delicious. Beautiful weather, if a wee bit hot for me 😁. I would highly recommend this day trip, we saw lakes, churches, a fortress, wandered around beautiful villages. A thoroughly great day out and could not have had a better guide in Eraldo.

5.00Had a brilliant time on this excursion to North Macedonia. Everything was really well organised, we had a nice coffee stop on the way, followed by a scenic viewpoint in Albania overlooking beautiful Lake Ohrid. The border crossing was really smooth too, no stress at all. We stopped in Struga for a wander, then had plenty of time to properly explore Ohrid, Samuel’s Fortress was definitely a highlight! Our guide Ilir was absolutely fantastic, really friendly, super knowledgeable about the history of Albania, Macedonia, and the Balkans, and you could tell he had a genuine passion for the region. He also gave me some great food and drink recommendations for Tirana afterwards, which was a lovely extra touch. Nice little extras too, we got a free Albanian souvenir and a bottle of water to start the day. All in all, an excellent trip. Great value, great guide, great day! Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area!
