Drive along paths accessible only by 4x4 to access the most exclusive, unique, and breathtaking views of São Miguel Island, accompanied by a certified local guide.
Departing from Ponta Delgada, we head toward the Sete Cidades volcano, where we will make several stops, including at Pico do Carvão, where we can see the sea at the northern and southern tips of the island. Next, we will pass by an aqueduct dating back to the 19th century, allowing us to admire its magnificent construction. After that, we begin our adventure on a dirt road surrounding the top of the caldera, reaching an altitude of 856 meters. Here, you can enjoy the beauty of the Sete Cidades volcanic caldera and visit the parish between them.

5.00Filipe was incredibly knowledgeable, fun, and has a genuine love for the Azures that shows. We were so lucky to get a guide that grew upon the island, is incredibly intelligent and knows every beautiful spot to stop and all the great places to eat. Not only did he provide a spectacular tour, but he dropped us at a great dinner spot and filled us with lots of wonderful memories of the day. Highly recommend!

5.00We had a great day with Andre. The island is beautiful. The jeep was alot of fun, luckily Andre is a great driver. Our cruise was delayed getting into port, and Filipe was so nice and accommodating to pick us up at a different time. I highly recommend this company and tour.

5.00We had a fabulous full day tour with Filipe with Azores by Locals. He is a lifetime native and really gave us an excellent experience. We took the jeep ride along the rim of the craters of Sete Cidades and the hydrangeas were outstanding. We ate lunch at one of the popular local restaurants with their famous octopus. Also toured the pineapple farm and had delicious pineapple treats. Filipe even took pictures of us during the tour with his personal camera and sent them to us after the tour.

5.00It was out arrival day and still jet lagged we had the afternoon tour with Filipe. Punctual, knowledgeable and holy great driver around the crazy crater road! Made day 1 a great experience.
Sete Cicadas is a special place. Going with Felipe was the icing on the cake.

5.00Felipe was so knowledgeable of his island. He was switched on to our interests and needs for the excursion. He related stories and anecdotes of his experiences as well as historical and geological facts of the area without going overboard. He read the changing weather and adjusted the itinerary accordingly. Driving the rim of the volcanic lake on the narrow track, we always felt safe. We had a great day thanks to him.
